15 (a) i. For a bar fixed at one end and free at the other end with length

ii. A steel rod of diameter d = 2 cm, Length L = 5 cm and thermal
conductivity h = 50W/moC is exposed at one end to a constant
temperature of 320oC. The other end is in ambient air of (8) CO5
temperature 20oC with a convection coefficient of h = 100
W/m2oC. Determine the temperature at the midpoint of the rod.

is exposed to atmospheric air at 30oC with heat transfer
coefficient of 35W/m2K. Calculate the nodal temperatures.
