If it does appear:
Select the last option “No, not this time” and click the “Next'” button
Continue with c. Actual driver installation
b. Manually start driver installation
Proceed this step only if the “add hardware wizard” is not started automatically;
otherwise go to c. Actual driver installation.
Right click the option “RNDIS/Ethernet Gadget” and click “Update driver...”
Select the last option (“No, not this time”) and click “Next” to continue.
Select the second option (“Install from a list or specific location”) and click
“Next”
Click the ''Browse'' button and select the folder Resources\Drivers of your SDT
software:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\SDT\...\Resources\Drivers''
- or -
your installation path.
NB: The … in the path above is the SDT Software name. It can be either
“SDT270 SherlogReporter”, “SDT DataDump” or “UAS”
Click ''Next''.
The installation is started. When it is finished, you will see the following screen:
Click ''Finish''. The installation is completed and confirmed by the following message:
The driver needs to be installed for each USB port you want the
SDT270 device to connected with. It is advised to install the SDT270
driver on these other ports now, to avoid having to do it later.
To do so, unplug the SDT270's USB cable from the computer and
repeat above steps for the other USB ports.
2. WINDOWS VISTA / WINDOWS 7 / WINDOWS 8
• You need administrative rights on the computer.
• Before you can install the driver, you need to start the
SDT270 device and wait until the main measurement
screen is loaded.
Connect your device with the USB cable to your PC.
Open the device manager:
• Open the “Start” menu in Windows
• Choose “Devices and Printers”
• Look for the device “RNDIS/Ethernet Gadget” right click it and click
“Properties”:
• Click tab “Hardware”
• Click “Properties”
• Click tab “Driver”
Note: if this button is disabled, go back to the devices and printers window
and select the option File > Device manager in the menu. Then, locate the
RNDIS device in the device tree (category: network adapers) and open
the properties window from here.
• Choose the second option “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on
my computer”.
You now see following window:
