Sample Donor Survey

Your workplace donors can be very different from your other donors.
We recommend that you survey your workplace donors to find out more about them.
Use the addresses you have downloaded from the Online Portfolio. The results can
help you to better plan your workplace marketing efforts.

A good rule of thumb is to expect a response rate of 5-10%. Surveys can also be
included with the acknowledgment letter you send to your donors.

We recommend requesting a response by a date certain,


and include a postage paid return envelope.


Sample text for a cover letter or introduction to the survey:

Thank you for supporting our organization in last year’s workplace charitable campaign. We
place great value on your thoughts and opinions.

Please take 2-3 minutes to complete the following questions. Your answers will help us
determine how to better serve at-work contributors like yourself.

Your survey responses are completely confidential, and the information you provide will not be
shared with anyone. Again, Thank you for your time, your support, and concern for our cause!
