MEDICAL PROCEDURES

1. Cesarean section/operasi caesar

Definition: surgical delivery of a baby by an incision through the mother's
abdomen and uterus
Pengertian: operasi untuk melahirkan bayi dengan sayatan melalui perut dan
rahim ibu
2. Hysteroscopy/histeroskopi
Definition: procedure for examining the condition of the neck and the inside
of the uterus
 Pengertian: prosedur pemeriksaan kondisi leher dan bagian dalam rahim
3. Debridement/debridemen
Definition: surgical removal of foreign material and/or dead, damaged, or
infected tissue from a wound or burn, by removing the diseased or dead
tissue
Pengertian: operasi pengangkatan benda asing dan/atau jaringan mati, rusak,
atau terinfeksi dari luka atau luka bakar dengan membuang jaringan yang
sakit atau mati
4. Hemorrhoidectomy/hemoroidektomi
Definition: the surgical removal of hemorrhoids, distended veins in the
lower rectum or anus
Pengertian: operasi pengangkatan wasir, pembengkakan pembuluh darah di
rektum bagian bawah atau anus
5. Cardiac transplantation/transplantasi jantung
Definition: surgery to remove the diseased heart from a person and replace
it with a healthy one from an organ donor
Pengertian: operasi pengangkatan jantung yang sakit dari seseorang dan
menggantinya dengan yang sehat dari donor organ

NURSING SKILLS

1. Teamwork skill
Reason: Nurses must be able to work with the team because caring for
patients requires views from different disciplines so that the care received
by patients is more comprehensive. In addition, good teamwork is useful for
avoiding misunderstandings within the team.
Alasan: Perawat harus dapat bekerjasama dengan tim dikarenakan dalam
merawat pasien memerlukan pandangan dari disiplin ilmu yang berbeda
sehingga perawatan yang diterima pasien lebih komprehensip. Selain itu,
kerjasama tim yang baik berguna untuk menghindari kesalahpahaman dalam
tim.
2. Time management skill
 Reason: Nurses must be on time when providing care so that the treatment
that patients get is more effective. Time management is useful so that the
work of nurses is more organized.
Alasan: Perawat harus tepat waktu saat memberikan perawatan agar
perawatan yang didapatkan pasien lebih efektif. Manajemen waktu berguna
agar pekerjaan perawat lebih terorganisasi.
3. Enterpreneurship skill
Reason: Nurses must have an entrepreneurial spirit because then the
perception that nurses have to work in hospitals in order to make money is
no longer valid. With this spirit, nurses can develop their nursing skills to
become a business so that nurses can still treat patients outside the hospital
but still get financial benefits.
Alasan: Perawat harus berjiwa enterpreneurship karena dengan begitu
presepsi bahwa perawat harus bekerja di rumah sakit agar menghasilkan
uang tidak lagi berlaku. Dengan jiwa tersebut, perawat dapat
mengembangkan kemampuan keperawatannya untuk dijadikan bisnis
sehingga perawat tetap dapat merawat pasien di luar rumah sakit namun
tetap mendapatkan keuntungan secara finansial.
4. Communication skill
Reason: Part of a nurse's job is to communicate with patients. By
communicating, nurses know the needs of patients and patients can know
and understand the actions given during their treatment so that the actions
given do not cause misunderstandings. In addition, good communication can
increase patient comfort during treatment.
Alasan: Sebagian pekerjaan perawat adalah berkomunikasi dengan pasien.
Dengan berkomunikasi perawat mengetahui kebutuhan pasien serta pasien
dapat mengetahui dan memahami tindakan yang diberikan dalam masa
pengobatannya sehingga tindakan yang diberikan tidak menimbulkan
kesalahpahaman. Selain itu, komunikasi yang baik dapat meningkatkan
kenyamanan pasien saat melakukan perawatan.
5. Leadership skill
 Reason: Nurses must be able to lead the nursing team so that the
organization of nurses' duties in the ward is better so that the services
provided are more comprehensive and there is no overlap of authority.
Alasan: Perawat harus dapat memimpin tim keperawatan agar
pengorganiasian tugas perawat dalam ruangan lebih baik sehingga
pelayanan yang diberikan lebih komprehensif dan tidak ada tumpang tindih
wewenang.
6. Technology skill
Reason: Nurses must know how to use these electronic medical record
systems to record their notes and information they gather from the patient
Alasan: Perawat harus mengetahui bagaimana menggunakan rekam medis
berbasis sistem perangkat elektronik untuk dapat mendokumentasikan
catatan mereka dan informasi yang mereka kumpulkan dari pasien.
7. Checking and monitoring vital signs
Reason: Vital signs provide nurses with important information to determine
which treatment protocols to follow, track how treatments are working and
provide critical information to make life-saving decisions
Alasan: Tanda-tanda vital menyediakan perawat informasi yang penting
untuk menentukan perawatan mana yang harus diikuti, melacak bagaimana
perawatan bekerja dan memberikan informasi penting untuk membuat
keputusan yang menyelamatkan jiwa.
8. Applying for inffusion skill
Reason: One of the basic human needs is the fulfillment of fluid needs. The
basic skills of nurses that must be possessed are the patient's fluid needs,
one of which is by installing an infusion
Alasan: Salah satu kebutuhan dasar manusia yaitu pemenuhan kebutuhan
cairan. Keahlian dasar perawat yang harus dimiliki yaitu pemenuhan
kebutuhan cairan pasien salah satunya dengan pemasangan infus
9. Catheter insertion skill
Reason: One of the basic human needs is the fulfillment of fluid needs. The
basic skills of nurses that must be possessed are the patient's fluid needs, if
excess fluid is entered too much, it will cause problems in the body's system
 so that the disposal of fluids in the body is also needed and the amount also
needs to be monitored, one of which is the installation of a urinary catheter.
Alasan: Salah satu kebutuhan dasar manusia yaitu pemenuhan kebutuhan
cairan. Keahlian dasar perawat yang harus dimiliki yaitu pemenuhan
kebutuhan cairan pasien, jika cairan yang dimasukkan berlebih maka akan
menyebabkan permasalahan disistem tubuh sehingga pembuangan cairan
dalam tubuh pun diperlukan dan juga perlu dipantau jumlahnya, salah
satunya dengan pemasangan kateter urine.
10. Wound care skill
Reason: Wounds are one of the biggest contributors to infectious diseases.
Nurses must be able to treat wounds so that patients are not easily infected
by wounds and in order to facilitate wound healing so that complications do
not occur in the wound.
Alasan: Luka adalah salah satu penyumbang penyakit infeksi paling banyak.
Perawat harus dapat merawat luka agar pasien tidak mudah mengalami
infeksi akibat luka dan agar dapat mempermudah penyembuhan luka
sehingga tidak terjadi komplikasi pada luka tersebut.
