2 FOUNDATION AND FLOOR
The first step of building the shed is the flooring and foundation. Your foundation is the core of your shed
and should be sturdy enough to support the entire weight of the shed. Start using pressure heated timber
skids to create a foundation of 8 feet in width and 8 feet in length, as shown in the figure. Make sure the
skids are spaced equally and are assembled using galvanized nails.
Once the foundation has been built, the next step is to do the flooring. You will ¾ inches thick tongue and

5 ROOF SECTION
After all the wall structures have been designed, you will start working on the roof. Note that working on the
roof is a strenuous job which is why we suggest having a helping hand in order to perfectly design and
assemble the roof parts. Use pressure heated timber to create 8 rafters with a diameter of 4 feet and 9 3/5
inches. You will spread them over a width of 8 feet with equal spacing.
It is recommended to get additional help for the roofing section as it can be strenuous.
