Instruction: Answer any four (4) questions

Question 1:
a) Explain any three (3) ways of reviewing literatures. [6 marks]
b) Write short notes on the following: [6 marks]
i. Abstract
ii. Conclusion
c) “Research is much concern with proper fact finding, analysis and evaluation” Do you agree with this
statement? Give reasons in support of your answer. [5½ marks]

a) List and explain five (5) criteria of a good research. [7½ marks]
b) Explain the importance of literature review in scientific research. [5 marks]
c) How would you differentiate between primary and secondary data? [5 marks]

Question 3:
a) How do data, the raw materials of research, relate to knowledge as a whole? [9 marks]
b) What are the advantages and limitations of secondary data? [6 marks]
c) Briefly explain the term Research method? [2½ marks]

a) What are the advantages and disadvantages of primary data? [5 marks]
b) List and briefly explain the basic types of primary and secondary data. [7 marks]

b) What are the different methods of data collection? Which one is most suitable for conducting
enquiry regarding employee welfare programme in Nigeria? [7 marks]
c) Explain why questionnaires are popular tools for Data Collection in Research. Discuss qualities of a
Good Questionnaire. [7½ marks]

b) List any four (4) examples of referencing style [4 marks]
