I. Vision: The Sisters of Mary School envisions that the graduates, in their everyday life and in the pursuit of their calling, will become the new
disciples in spreading the work of redemption, and at the same time teach and lead by example the Marian virtues of simplicity, charity,
gratitude and joy.
II Mission:
Inspired by her patroness, the Virgin of the Poor, the Sisters of Mary Schools shall direct their energy and resources to the poorest of
the poor youth of the country by way of providing them with high quality Secondary Education intensive on Vocational-Technical
Curriculum molding them into citizens committed to serve the nation, to love their fellow being, and spread moral and spiritual values
based on the Gospels.
The SMS believes that Almighty God is the very reason of its existence and is therefore the core of its curriculum. Hence, it is firm on its mission of alleviating the suffering of
the poor by providing them with high quality education intensive on vocational-technical training molding them into individuals imbued with Christian virtues.
IV. Exit Institutional Outcomes: SMS students are peace thinkers, facilitators of learning, hard workers, and protectors of their families.
V. Learning Standard
Determine own family experiences or lessons that have a positive impact on oneself, and value the existence of love, cooperation, and faith in a family.
Prove that the family is a natural institution of love and cooperation which helps develop self towards meaningful relationships and develop appropriate actions toward
strengthening love and cooperation in a family.
Evaluate threats to the Filipino family in giving education, guidance, and faith, and elaborate the roles of the parents in the family as well as the right of the children.
Identify the types of communication governing in the family and make appropriate actions towards the development of the communication in the family.
This course provides a knowledge and research- based concepts and practices on the current trends in education specifically in the areas of educational administration, teaching and
research. As informed professional decision- makers, it is imperative that these trends and issues must be analyzed and explored by graduate education students for them to develop
sound and reflective decisions pertaining to improving and enhancing teaching and learning conditions in schools today.
