    1. What is SAP GTS?


    GTS stands for Global Trade Services and is a standalone SAP application that replaces the existing
    foreign trade functionality in R/3 SAP. To conduct business in other countries, the company has to
    follow local regulations, fulfill documents requirements, and understand complex tariffs and duties.
    Failing to do so can be expensive and that’s where GTS comes handy. They ensure business abides by
    the compliances. SAP GTS is an ERP based solution meant for companies that are primarily into
    International Operation. Firms which have trading agreements with a large network of partners across
    the globe with operations in various countries are most likely to use this application.

    Note:- GTS architecture how it interacts with Feeder System, all the master data like Product,
    customer-vendor, and all the transaction data like sales order shipment invoicing doc get pushed to
    GTS via RFC Phone Call. As well as any kind of message back to the Feeder system flows via RFC
    call.

    4. What is the relation between R/3 and SAP GTS?


    SAP R/3 is the former name of the enterprise resource planning software created by SAP AG. It is an
    enterprise-wide information system developed to work with all the resources, information, and
    activities required to complete business procedures such as order fulfillment or payment. SAP R/3
    was arranged to distinctive useful components, covering the typical features in position in a company.
    The most commonly used modules were Financial and Controlling (FICO), Human Resources
    (Human Resources), Material Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), and Production
    Preparation (PP). Each module handles specific business task on its own but will be linked to one
    another whenever required. For example, an invoice from a billing transaction of Sales & Distribution
    would pass through to accounting, where it will certainly show up in accounts receivable and cost of
    goods sold.
    SAP normally is focused on the best methods for driving its software processes, but more recently

    Coming to the invoice there are different types of invoices which are mentioned below:

    1. Basic invoice
    2. Po default invoice
    3. Credit history memo invoice
    4. Debit memo invoice
    5. Early repayment billing
    6. Blended Billing
    7. Expense record billing

    In other ways, there is one another invoice that is the Recurring invoice.

    SAP GTS includes Four Sub Solutions


    1) SAP Compliance Management:
    Includes all the features relating to import and export control.
    This sub solution permits you to keep an eye on processes that go through licensing demands and to
    abide by legal regulations that restrict or perhaps prohibit trade with individual states, political groups,
    and individuals.
    The SAP Conformity Management sub solution includes the following services

     Embargo Check
     Sanctioned Party List Screening
     Product-Related Check (” Legal Control”).

    All check functions are available in import and export handling. You can turn on the private services
    independently of each other.
    ii) SAP Client Management:
    Supports customs processes
    The focus gets on the connection to electronic customs procedures and printing accompanying
    documents. There are also additional functions for goods classification.
    SAP customs management consists of two services as follows:

     Customs Processing.
     Transit Procedure.

    The “customs processing” service supports specific digital customs declaration procedures and
    printing of customs documents.
    The “transit process” solution enables you to use the New Computerized Transit System (NCTS) in
    Belgium, Germany, FR, UK, NL, Austria, SW and Slovenia, by enabling you to electronically
    process-specific customs procedure.

    iii) SAP Risk Management:
    Has been added to SAP GTS 3.0.
    This is used for preference determination and management of vendor declarations about the issue of
    preference documents.
    It also supports the export of CAP products that qualify for reimbursement. The letter of credit
    management has been included in SAP GTS 7.0.
    The SAP Risk Management sub-service offers the following services mentioned below:
     Choice Processing.
     Letter of Credit Handling.
     Restitution.

    The “letter of credit processing” solution allows you to manage letters of credit in SAP GTS.
    iv) SAP Electronic Compliance Reporting:.
    Is a new enhancement to SAP GTS 7.1. This enables the routine problem of declarations for intra-
    European Union trade statistics (Intrastat).
    Consists of service to provide Intrastat declarations.
