Associate Skywise Engineer

Customer Services Digital Solution is responsible for the delivery of Digital Solutions
on Maintenance and Engineering perimeter, internally for Customer Services and
externally to airlines, MROs and lessors. Examples of solutions are Health Monitoring
for aircraft diagnostic, Predictive Maintenance, heavy maintenance optimization,
aircraft ground connectivity solutions for Airbus fleet, electronic documentation…

About Associate Skywise Engineer

The skywise engineer would essentially develop quick win solutions on the Skywise platform that
would provide immediate value to the end customer. He / She would also contribute to the Skywise
big applications development, being a part of Agile teams working in Agile Release Trains (SAFe
framework)

The Associate Skywise Engineers would work on the big data collected from the aircrafts per flight
from various Airlines. Using the data exploration / manipulation and visualization techniques, the
Skywise engineers provide deep insights into the Airline data, by developing algorithms. The
Associate Skywise Engineer would work towards deriving insights from the data using data analysis
and further develop dashboards / workflows for the customers.

Main Responsibilities:
● Be a part of the Agile development team as a development team member.
● Participate and contribute to the team objectives in the Agile development process (more
specifically, Scaled Agile Framework).
● Work on data engineering, the E(Extract), T(Transform), L(Load) processes on the big data.
● Develop algorithms, perform data analysis
● Independently develop dashboards / workflows to visualize the data / insights on the Skywise
platform.
● Collaborate with peers from other teams to deliver best in class solutions.
● Be ready to develop new skills like cloud computing etc… as well as the airline domain
knowledge.

Skills
● Understanding in developing, deploying, and debugging data transformation pipelines.
● Good knowledge on Python, PySpark, PySQL, Java Script or any other Object Oriented Language
(C++, JAVA etc)
● Basic knowledge of databases (MSSQL / Oracle etc).
● Understanding of the data analysis methodologies and processes and their linkages to other
processes e.g. dimensional modeling.
● Analytical thinking & problem solving
● Ability to understand domain, problem statements, requirements etc
● Basic understanding of Cloud technologies (nice to have)
● Preferably from an Aeronautics background.
