Omron is very competitive on a list price basis with Rockwell PanelView component series of HMI.
With this update, it can communicate with Rockwell controllers. Bring up pricing to price sensitive
machine builders and integrators.

The Internet Explorer (IE) browser programming of the PanelView Component series has been
criticized for not keeping up with the latest IE releases and other browsers like Chrome.

Bring up the fact that Rockwell will charge for technical support. Omron technical support is included
in the purchase of the product.

Machine builders and integrators that use a variety of PLC platforms may be able to take advantage
of the variety of 3rd party drivers available for the NB series of HMI. Let this class of customers
know they may be able to consolidate and standardize on the NB series of HMI for many of the
various PLC platforms they use. They would be able to move to fewer PO’s and contact points for
sales and support.
