Greetings!

In rationale of DepEd Order No. 40 S. 2017 which is the Guidelines on the Conduct of
Random Drug Testing in Public and Private Secondary Schools, the Juan R. Liwag
Memorial High School is requesting your good office to grant us permission to conduct a
School-Based Orientation Random Drug Testing for Parents on February 22, 2018 at JRLMHS
Umali Gymnasium. Specifically, the seminar-workshop aims to:

1. Give parents of SHS students full understanding of the purpose of conducting Random
Drug Testing.
2. Promote the program of the government pursuant to Republic Act No. 9165 otherwise
known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs of 2002 which is to pursue intensive and
unrelenting campaign against the trafficking and use of dangerous drugs and other similar
substances.
3. Develop healthy learners in a safe, nurturing and healthy environment.

The target participants of this orientation/seminar are the parents Grades 11 and 12
Senior High School students of JRLMHS.

Attached are the Training Proposal, Committee, Program and the Training Matrix of the
said orientation.

STUDENTS

Rationale:

In compliance to the DepEd Order No. 40 s. 2017, otherwise known as Guidelines on


the Conduct of Random Drug Testing in Public and Private Secondary Schools, JUAN R.
LIWAG MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL SHS will conduct a School-Based Orientation on
Random Drug Testing for Parents of SHS students at Umali Gymnasium from 9:00 am to
11:00am.

The purpose of the orientation is get the approval of the parents in the Random Drug
Testing as part of the government’s program in eliminating Drug Abuse. This event may help
the parents in determining their children if they are taking dangerous substance and help them
prevent from such use.

Objectives:

1. Give parents of SHS students full understanding of the purpose of conducting Random
Drug Testing.
2. Promote the program of the government pursuant to Republic Act No. 9165 otherwise
