INTRODUCTION: In the chapter on The Stronghold in the Forbidden

Lands Player's Handbook, there is a d6 table of flaws that an old adventure

site being converted into a stronghold Kennelly
might have. This table is short, and so
this supplement adds more flaws for greater variety.
USING THE LIST
The original d6 table may be rolled on, or this one can be used instead, depending on what the Gamemaster wishes.
Some of the results can be fleshed out more if desired, perhaps into full adventure hooks.

11 Thick cobwebs show that nests of spiders infest the place (see page 127 in the
Gamemaster's Guide).

12 Cracks in the walls let in the wind, making it cold and sometimes damp.

13 A small colony of insectoids (see page 108 in the Gamemaster's Guide) has made its
home in the cellars.

14 here are old tunnels beneath the stronghold, leading who knows where. Parts are
collapsed and tunnels head underground.

15 A group of bandits use the location as on occasional base (see page 183 in the
Gamemaster's Guide).

16 Large piles of festering rubbish fill the chambers.

21 Wolves lair within the building (see page 126 in the Gamemaster's Guide).

22 The huge, rotting corpse of a giant lies within.

23 Mist fills the place, a fog demon that is laired within (see page 81 in the
Gamemaster's Guide).

24 The stonework is damp and the walls are covered in moisture.

25 The vines that cover parts of the building are a strangling vine (see page 118 in the
Gamemaster's Guide).

26 A strong smell of brimstone permeates the place, seemingly seeping up from beneath
ground.

31 A bat swarm nests under the roof, the floor covered in a thick layer of guano (see
page 126 in the Gamemaster's Guide).

32 Locals swear that the place is cursed and at best dislike and at worst refuse to
venture inside.

33 Bounty hunters and adventurers keep mistaking the current occupants for the former,
and hostile intruders are common.

34 The chimneys are blocked and any fires will cause smoke to fill the rooms.

35 A prisoner is found in one of the rooms, barely alive, and they may believe the
characters are responsible.

36 Vegetation has taken over many rooms, with vines wrapping around the walls.

41 Raiding parties of orc drifters are common in the area (see page 67 in the
Gamemaster's Guide).

42 Strange sounds can be heard coming from parts of the place during the night.

43 Tunnels are discovered beneath the stronghold, which are home to a minotaur (see
page 112 in the Gamemaster's Guide).

44 Wooden beams that make up part of the structure are rotten and may break.

45 Gryphons nest in the upper reaches (see page 102 in the Gamemaster's Guide).

46 A previous occupant had an unsavoury reputation and this taints the relationship the
characters have with anyone in the local area.

51 Pervasive false rumours that an artefact is hidden in the stronghold, either with or
without the characters' knowledge, results in frequent, potentially hostile, treasure
seekers.

52 Parts of the building are unstable and suffering from subsidence.

53 The tomb of a death knight lies beneath the structure (see page 86 in the
Gamemaster's Guide).

54 Pernicious mould fills the chambers and proves very difficult to eliminate, with the
spores making breathing unpleasant.

55 Snakes are common within, with the walls full of holes through which they slither (see
page 127 in the Gamemaster's Guide).

56 A river runs beneath the stronghold, providing water but also weakening the structure.

61 Ravens of an aggressive nature cluster in the upper reaches (see page 127 in the
Gamemaster's Guide).

62 Storms are common in the area, regularly soaking it.

63 Nightwargs prowl outside the walls at night (see page 114 in the Gamemaster's Guide).

64 Secret tunnels riddle the structure, and there are entrances whose locations are not
known.

65 Rumours that an abandoned dwarven mine lies beneath draw treasure hunters.

66 Strange fungi grow in some of the chambers.
