Writing Task 2
Writing Task 2
It is a common belief that one of the most essential school subjects is History. However, there are others
who argue that subjects which are roughly similar to Science and Technology are much more superior
than History in the modern days. In this essay, I will discuss both points and give my final thoughts.
On the one hand, History provide students with vast knowledge of world events which took place in the
past. Students can learn more about the findings of unfold continents, the war between nations and civil
wars. Additionally, History help students learn more about past events which occurred throughout the
development of the earth. For instance, the development of human’s ancestors is introduced in History.
Students can learn about different habits of the ancestors such as hunting, eating and sleeping and in
order to find out more about human’s behaviors.
On the other hand, students can acquire deeper knowledge of the developments of technology by
studying Science and Technology. In the era of technology, there is a noticeable rise in the need of it. If it
weren’t for the help of Science and Technology, students would find it difficult to understand difference
theories and mechanism of machine. Therefore, it could lead to a degenerating world in the near future.
Moreover, students are able to be more familiar with modern developments through pratical uses of
computers or machines in classes. Students will have such valuable experiences and knowledges in
order to operate complicated systems in their future career paths.
In conclusion, I find it interesting that neither Science and Technology nor History has the upper hand.
Both subjects provide students with a various range of knowledge and help them understand the past
and the future of human beings specifically. Therefore, it is necessary for students to learn History and
Science and Technology equally.
