A study on Bangalore investors opinion towards different investment

avenues available

RESEARCH DESIGN:

Task of defining the research problem is the preparation of the research


project, popularly known as the “research design ".

Decisions regarding what, where, when, how much, by what means concerning a research
design.

NEED FOR THE STUDY

Investment is the most important thing today. Business men are earning handsomely. They
have all right to invest and spend to some extent. But lack of financial education, put them in
much more difficult situation. At present lot of investment avenues are available in market
with investor education. Investors can choose from a variety of instruments and assets. While
marketing the choice, they should also consider the rate of return and risk that on their
investment. As investor’s they also expect a good rate of return from their investment. For all
these, they need adequate flow of information. Hence, the present study entitled.
“INVESTMENT AVENUES FOR An INVESTORS” has been taken up.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Business men earn profit handsomely but they don’t know to access on various available
avenues of investments. Lack of financial education, set aside their disposable income in low
safety, profitability and marketability of investment.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

 To study the awareness about available avenues for investors


 To examine the knowledge and problem about available avenues for investment
 To develop awareness on investment among business people’s
 To analyze the investing habits of business people’s

SCOPE OF THE STUDY:

This study was mainly planned to understand the various investment opportunities available
for people and also to understand the preferred investment avenues. This research study
surely will provide a parameter particularly for a better understanding of the investment
avenues available to an investor from various financial institutions. The findings of study
present a comparison between selected investment avenues. The level of awareness about the
investment avenues is also considered under the study.

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY:

Following are the limitation of the present study

1. The study confines only to the business people at Bangalore. Hence, the finding
cannot be generalized.
2. Due to the stage of time the sample size is limited to 45 Only
3. The information provided by the responds in spontaneous and they may not be
consistent.
4. Accuracy of the primary data collects depends upon the authentically of the
information by the responds of questionnaires.

The study planned is to be carried out with the help of the primary data and secondary
data for the purpose to analyse and understand the preferred investment avenues by the
people and factors considered for investment.

SAMPLING

Sampling is the process of selecting an adequate number of elements from the population.
The study of the sample will not only help in understanding the characteristics of population
but also enables the researcher to generalize the result.

SAMPLE AREA

On the field, several departments from the locality of the Bangalore has been used for the
research design

SAMPLE SIZE

The study has taken around 45 Respondents who are the part of working population in
Bangalore. The investors are selected by convenient sampling method

SAMPLE DESIGN

Convenience sampling techniques were used for the study.

SOURCES OF DATA

Primary data was collected through questionnaires and secondary data was collected from the
websites, reports and books.

The present study is mainly based on primary data and secondary data. The required data
were collected through questionnaires and documents, certain websites and other online data
bases.

Usually primary data collected from the survey. I travelled to various places and gathered
information through informal interviews of the employees who are investing in different
investment avenue options.

Secondary data sources are collected from books, journals and websites. Secondary data is
already existing data in somewhere like books, journals and websites.

TOOLS FOR DATA COLLECTION

Questionnaires are instruments used for collecting data in survey research. They usually
include a set of standardized questions that explore a specific topic and collect the
information about options.

 Bar graphs

PLAN OF ANALYSIS

The data shall be collection from questionnaires were processed, tabulated and analyzed. To
avoid wrong inference certain factors like incomplete and dishonest answers were eliminated
once the data is collected from the respondents the same data was organized, processed and
tabulated. The table thus obtained was analyzed with the help of statistical average and
percentage in order to interpret the data and inference were drawn accurately.
