Research Project on Samsung

Task P1
Research Proposal
A research proposal is a brief and well-organized overview of the research you plan to perform. It lays out
the main points or concerns you want to answer. It defines the wide field of study in which your research
is performed, referencing current knowledge and any recent debates on the subject. It also highlights the
uniqueness of your study proposal.
The idea is the most critical paper you'll send as part of your submission. It allows you to show that you
have the capacity to express abstract concepts plainly, concisely, and objectively, for example, showing
that you have the aptitude for graduate level science. The suggestion also assists us in linking your
research preferences to a fitting boss.

Task P2
Basic techniques for gathering and processing data are known as analysis methods. The development of
your research methodology is an important aspect of your research plan. There are two major choices to
be made while preparing the processes.
Decide if you'll gather data first. The type of data you need to answer your study question will determine
your methods:
Qualitative vs. quantitative: Would the data be worded or numbered?
Primary vs. secondary: If you want to gather original information yourself or are you going to use data
gathered by someone else?
Descriptive vs. experimental: Are you going to take samples or do an experiment?
Secondly, determine how you analyses the figures.
In order to evaluate correlations between variables, you can use statistical analysis techniques for
quantitative results.
You may use approaches for qualitative data such as thematic analysis to analyses the data's patterns and
interpretations.
Primary Research
Primary research concerns research which included the collection of original data for a specific project
(Gratton & Jones, 2010). The researcher collects information directly in primary research instead of
focusing on the information provided in databases and other publications.
The purpose of this form of study is also to produce new information, which is why primary research is
often known as original research. Researchers want to answer questions which were not answered or even
questioned before through primary study. This level of originality distinguishes between primary and
secondary analysis.
Moreover, original writing is important to scholars who are actually more than 40,000 published in
university newspapers. The originality of the study is a significant publication criterion (Callaham, 2002).
Secondary Research
If primary study requires active involvement by the researcher, secondary research involves the summary
or synthesis of other research data and literature. Researchers use and interpret data from primary sources
of information in secondary research.
Secondary polling in many areas such as legal research and business research is commonly used. For
example, a systematic review is one of the most popular approaches in science for secondary study. In
systematic reviews, scientists examine current research and articles on a given subject using systemic
approaches to synthesize all available results (Fitchburg State University, 2020).

Task P3
How to Conduct Primary Research
Primary analysis approaches may usually be customized and adapted to the market needs. The population
or demographic from which the statistics are derived is the basis of all primary study data. The next step
is to determine the sample size by which the data is collected, after the target demographic is established.
If the sample is determined, you will be able, by gathering data, to perform the first primary market
analysis.

Direct Mail Questionnaires

The contacts with prospective customers via direct mail is one of the main methods to perform primary
market research. With a well-structured, multi-question survey, you collect input from potential
customers; an easy, quick, error freeway.
Even if the mail response from prospective consumers to such questionnaires is a very efficient primary
market analysis instrument. A collection of criteria should also be followed to ensure that the survey
response rate is appropriate. You should obey any of the rules -
Use short questions on the topic
Questions for people and future consumers should be answered and
Make sure that the survey is just two pages long.
Attach your letter with a competent cover letter describing your survey intent.
Increase the questionnaire to complete e.g. "$20 off your next order"

Telephonic Surveys
Telephone surveys are a key consumer polling instrument that is remarkably economical. As a company
owner, you benefit from the fact that a potential client will ask questions directly leading to amazing rates
of response. - Make sure you have an experienced telephone interviewer with a ready script that can
memories the questions - certain rules to be followed during a phone survey.
Take care of the future consumer by minimizing pauses or long questions
Ask if a follow-up call is possible and give the same incentive

Focus Groups
One of the most informative key consumer analysis strategies is the Focus Group, which collects
important knowledge about the goods from a select group of 8-12 prospective buyers. Each focus group
must have a moderator who will encourage detailed dialogue and when needed, as well as ask critical
questions.

Interviews
Interviews are similar to focus tests but only one customer talks to an interviewer who starts talking and
answers all questions. An interview is usually best for products that are too private for group
conversations like financial services or personal health products as a primary testing instrument.
You have to pick an interviewer to adjust the questions on the basis of the conversation in order to
guarantee the effectiveness of this market analysis strategy, allowing a clearer understanding of the goods
or services from consumers.

Observation
Market observation analysis involves monitoring consumer activity without communicating with them.
Observations are particularly helpful when you are a small business owner and do not have the necessary
resources to conduct an interview or focus group study. You can collect critical analysis results by
attracting qualified communications analysts who can classify individual actions and see how individuals
react to your goods.
In general, market testing of this type may be carried out anonymously in a public environment like
stores, or in a managed setting of consumer awareness, e.g. for operating a brand unreleased electronic
product and analyzing the client's software and user interface.

Task P4
4 Marketing Analytical tools

 Measure the website's efficacy.

 Measure the effects of the promotion of the content.

 ROI preparation marketing.

 Predictive lead scoring and conversion rate predictive

Samsung Marketing Analytical tools

In the field of market analytics, Samsung's partnership with Commerce has borne fruit in many ventures
and continues to grow as new problems arise, many of which are in the business world at present. In his
position as Chief Information Officer and Head of Business Information at Samsung Electronics we
spoke to Mister Andrzej Czechowski. In relation to data collection, emerging developments in business
analytics, functional instruments and the future of business intelligence, Polska is responsible for this
business sector.
At this stage, analytical and IT businesses are progressively becoming all companies in which we deal,
regardless of sector. We are now awake to a different world and are no longer able to operate a market
without commercial analysis, as Jeff Immelt, CEO of General Electric said. We then invest more and
more time studying data and patterns, as decisions are made much easier. And that makes the choices
more reliable and we can prevent a lot of errors by analyzing the experience and by knowing different
phenomena in this way.  You need to know the numbers if you want to run a business. The Samsung
approach may not be special, but we definitely want to be a seasoned business that knows how to grow,
the market and the internal and external circumstances.

Task P5
Samsung Communication Research Outcomes in Appropriate Manner

collaboration with leading universities, research institutes and member companies worldwide that have
the best technology in the world by aggressive open-ended innovation.
Samsung Research promises to continue to work hard to become a global leading research institute and,
through continuous innovation and intelligence, generates new value for the future.

Task P6
Why is market research important for new business ideas?

Never underestimate market analysis. Many innovative young firms have durability because their
investors do frequent market surveys, detect customer challenges and identify practical rivals.

It is the best way for businesses to retain a competitive advantage and keep up with industry dynamics
with a business opportunity.

Market analysis may be performed at different points of the organization life cycle, both before and after
the launch. Through a stronger view of the industry from the outset, you will develop a sound approach to
build a brand that is better than the competition.

Define the objectives of your market research

Your general priorities affect the reach of Market Analysis – what do you want to know about the market
and its external factors?
The targets also define the forms of market research that you have to do to succeed:

Primary market research covers the following:

 Monitor the efficacy of purchases

 Assurance of competitor quality of services
 Comprehension of the contact networks used by rivals
 Assess active competition in the sector

Secondary market research covers the following:

 Data released by the business

 Existing reports
 Newspapers
 Government results

Primary market analysis is a method of market inquiry which can be conducted independently or as an
organization to gather specific knowledge that can enhance goods, services and overall functionality.

Secondary market analysis is a distinct method of research in the market since it depends on knowledge
from a number of outlets.

The key steps of successful market research

Any good market research report contains four essential steps:

 Find out if comparable analysis has conducted before

 If not, analyses the current data that reaches our goals – if it meets the budget

 How and for whom will existing data be used?

 Does the main consumer research really need to be conducted? Who, if yes?

Objectives of Samsung market research

Samsung's marketing goal is to inspire the world and build the vision for the future of electronics. The
company's mission is to lead technology, solution and product developments which empower
communities worldwide to build a better world (SAMSUNG, 2014). The corporation is committed to
providing new benchmarks in the market and people and to meeting their staff, partners and customers'
principles. Samsung Electronics strives to establish a technologically promising future that unites the
numerous countries. In addition, the Samsung 2020 goal is to generate USD 400 billion in annual sales
and grow the Samsung Electronics brand image into one of the best five in the world. Creativity,
partnership and great people are key stones of Samsung's corporate culture. The group focused primarily
on providing goods and services of highest quality in the world through creative process and operational
excellence (Michell, 2010). In addition, Samsung expects to explore its businesses in these segments in
the fields of healthcare and biotechnology. In the business, its capability, productivity and creativity are
continually improved. Secondary market analysis, though, re-use all data obtained by a first person or by
groups from a secondary entity. This topic also describes a way to study secondary markets.

Task P7

Samsung Alternative Mythology

Samsung's market penetration approach is defined by the coordination and operation of goods or
administrations that are passed to another target worldwide. It also forces contracts in another outside
country to be developed and further tracked. By entering a new market, Samsung will grow its business
by means of business stability, improved revenue and brand recognition. Their enterprise is constantly
expanded to foreign markets by the use of waterfall strategy. Samsung entered a different market at the
beginning and produced its own character. Samsung can estimate the possible market size and revenue
trends, the identification of the target fragment, brand awareness, proof and the development of
imaginable networks that finally detail and use the offer method. Each treatment is subject to the product
form and the life cycle at individual stages. If the commodity brand has been established in the new
market, the profit of the same is used for successively entering another new market, with a more
comparative structure. Learning in such a technique description is an iterative process and a less unsafe
process for market growth. The next technique is a sprinkler one.

Task M1
Evaluate Research Approaches
Assessment analysis, also known as programmer assessment, refers not to a technical approach but to the
purpose of research. Evaluation analysis is a thorough evaluation of the value or the value of time, capital,
commitment and energy used to accomplish an objective.
Study in assessment is closely linked to psychological research, but somewhat distinct. It utilizes much of
the same techniques in conventional social research but includes team abilities, leadership capacity,
managerial skills, political intelligence and other skills that social research does not use much because it
exists in an organizational setting. Work on assessment often has to take note of stakeholders' preferences.
Research in evaluation is a form of applied research which aims to have a real impact on the world. Many
techniques may be used for assessment analysis including surveys and trials. A comprehensive, systemic
method involving gathering data from organizations, systems, projects, facilities and/or tools is the
process of assessment research involving data collection and reporting. Study evaluation improves
information and decision-making and produces realistic applications.

Task M3
Outcome of research
Study helps to explain the final effects of specific procedures and strategies in healthcare. Final findings
include the influence of humans; such as changes in their ability to operate. In fact, the end effects include
both quality of life and death for people with chronic illnesses — where cure is not always necessary. By
connecting the medical professionals to the results they experience, study results have been the gateway
to further monitoring and improvement of the quality of care. The Department for Clinical Science and
Quality's strategic aim is to promote better health outcomes.
Study findings have transformed the culture of clinical practise and health care research by shifting how
we measure the end results of health programmes. It provides the basis for the standard of treatment
assessment. In the "score cards" that buyers and customers will use to evaluate the healthcare qualité, the
findings of AHRQ testing results are also included. Study results provide decision makers with tools for
monitoring and improving efficiency of existing environments and regulated services for federal agencies
like Medicaid and Medicare. Research results are important to learning not just how good we are, but also
how we can achieve this level of treatment. Several Hopkins GIM faculty members are globally
recognized findings analysis specialists.

discussion.
Objective: Samsung's quantitative and qualitative prospective objectives. The quantitative target of the
company is to reach USD 400 billion in revenue and ranked No 1. (Butow & Watson, 2013). Samsung's
qualitative aims are now recognized as an innovative global leader and draw the youngest individuals in
the world to the top ten. Other marketing mixes such as pricing, advertising, product and location may be
a good way to meet the target market by picking the above marketing objectives.

Task M4
Present Situation
Visual Display Business
In 2019, we continued to build on our leading position on the global television industry, where we were
No. 1 for 14 straight years and were the first to capture more than 30% market share. This is the
culmination of our continuous efforts to produce advanced and creative goods that represent the needs of
consumers. 'the frame' has the 'art mode' option, which makes the screen a dynamic frame to show
artworks or photographs if not used. This advanced television now uses the QLED display in its third year
after the launch, and comprises a 'one-invisible-connection' which incorporates all the cables connected to
the TV into a single translucent optical cable.
This makes it almost everywhere in a space easy to place. 'The Serif' is built for aesthetical value, first
published in 2016. In 2019 we added the possibility to view larger displays with models of 43, 49 and 55
inches to satisfy the need for bigger screens. 'The Sero' offers a portrait-mode viewing experiment that is
distinct from conventional TV, based on an examination of the millennial generation's familiarity with
mobile content. The portrait mode monitor from the serum offers a handheld experience that encourages
users to rotate the screen for conventional mode views.

Home Appliances Business

With careful products and services that acutely align with the quickly changing lives of customers
worldwide, Samsung Electronics aims to constantly incorporate new paradigms for house appliances. In
2019 we launched Project PRISM, a new concept in the home appliances sector and a new age of custom-
made home appliances. The customized 'BESPOKE' cooler from Samsung allows consumers to configure
the typology, color and finish according to their individual tastes and lifestyles, has changed the trend in
the cooling industry. 'Grande AI,' an artificial intelligence washer-dryer package, Learns the habits and
tastes of consumers to provide an exceptional custom experience. Samsung Electronics will continue to
introduce revolutionary home appliances that represent customers' unique characteristics and desires over
the decades. In addition to shifts in the lifestyle, consumers continually rely on household equipment,
such as dust emissions and heatwaves. Samsung answers these questions with pollen, allergens and
bacteria specialist materials. This range includes the air conditioning system Wind-Free™, the
Hairdresser cleaning system, the Cube air purifier, the cordless vacuum sticks cleaner. Samsung Jet ™and
Clean Station™ dust disposal solution. The Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI)
capabilities for home appliances have been developed by Samsung, using devices such as the Family Hub
Refrigerator, the first industry-leading IoT coolant that has won CES Innovation Awards for 5
consecutive years. We will further search for IoT technologies that optimize comfort and enrich the daily
experiences of our customers.

Health and Medical Equipment Business

We design and produce medical imaging equipment for consumers around the world, such as digital X-
ray equipment. One of our main optical X-ray instruments, the GC85A, offers high-quality images using
technologies, such as image reduction. It offers vastly increased comfort features, including an automatic
shooting location change in accordance with the position of the patient. This helps medical personnel to
diagnosis promptly and accurately while reducing patient pain. The luxury smartphone GM85 is another
optical X-ray platform that maximizes versatility and delivers outstanding image quality and smooth
driving efficiency. 220 pictures can be taken in one charge. Its lightweight, streamlined user-centered
architecture also makes medical care more effective. The AccE detector is a key component and an
advanced waterproofing, dustproofing, and durable model of our optical X-ray products relative to
previous model systems. The technology aims to avoid pollution of supplies and patient infections.
Through incorporating diverse innovations in medical imaging equipment we begin to develop. We
recently applied AI technology to the development of the equipment’s to improve diagnostic accuracy, as
well as image/signal processing technology such as automatic detection of lung nodule. We have also
established a Smart Center feature that links several digital X-ray devices to the network for real-time
monitoring and maintenance of equipment.

Future Situation
The innovation focal point of Samsung not only fuels our entire network, but also encourages us to
contribute to global growth through innovation and social investment. We are constantly looking for
opportunities to leverage our strengths, concepts and goods for creativity, life-enhancing and a more
meaningful social value.
Burning workers are facing many difficulties in battling fires - the loading of burning houses or the
danger of poisonous smokes and sun. However, many firefighters can quote darkness as one of the
greatest obstacles, possibly in counter intuition. Sometimes in flames, unconscious or disoriented victims
are swallowed and hidden because of the complete loss of visibility caused by soot and smoke. Imagine
yourself as a gunman. You run into a fiery house to search for survivors. You hold equipment from 20
kilograms to 35 kilograms on your back, sprint upstairs and might make room at a time, the roof above
you falls, and the oxygen in your air tank is quickly drained. You have minutes, if just seconds, to find
survivors in the fight against rising smoke and heat, but in the smoke-filled rooms around you, there is
little visibility. In a storm, the deadliest enemy from both survivor and firefighter viewpoints, is the
obscurity that effectively blinds the rescuers. Firefighters must be fitted with thermal observation
instruments (TODs) or thermal imaging cameras that illumine the surviving body heat to the dark to be
able to identify survivors in absolute darkness. However, in the status quo, there are some important
problems. First of all, traditional TODs have to be held by firefighters, who tie their hands against real
rescue or wastewater. Secondly, machinery is bulky and unmanageable on the present market. For
firefighters are still carrying heavy loads they are an added weight of more than 1 lb. Finally, the
equipment is highly expensive. Many fire stations are unable for these cameras or even for small numbers
under their current budgets at a cost of approximately 2 million KRW or 2000 USD per unit. If a TOD is
accessible to the emergency team, the team manager will always keep it and seek survivors with the entire
team. It is further compounded by the fact that growing numbers of fires start in big buildings. In
February2016, a firefighter joined a Samsung Tomorrow Solution firefighter at a Dongducheon Fire
Station in the suburbs of Seoul, to Samsung Electronics' C-Lab (Creative Lab), an internal ideas
incubator. The firefighter described the challenges he encountered without access to a TOD as an
emergencies respondent and wanted to know if Samsung could use his creative technologies to help. The
firefighter mentioned a recent mission in which he knew that a survivor, the old man, had been close but
couldn't see him until after the fire had been exterminated. It killed him to think that if he had access to a
TOD at that time he might have saved the guy. Samsung collaborated with a group of college students to
develop a new concept in order to solve these issues. We collaborated with live firefights from the
conceptual level, getting realistic input and design suggestions. We unveiled 'Ignis,' a small, wearable
visorfirefighters' thermal imaging unit after nine months of production. Ignis, weighing just 350g, is 70%
smaller than existing ones. The latest product is also wearable and frees the hands of the rescuer. When
asked why they started this project, Samsung C-lab participants said that their awareness and imagination
could greatly assist individuals like firefighters – people who they considered as heroes – was rather
remarkable. Samsung supplied 1,000 Ignis products to the fire departments, security centers and national
counter-terrorism centers throughout the country at no cost. We think Ignis is a prize-winning example of
Samsung's ambition to use creativity to build social capital. The first reason we want to drive ourselves to
be innovative and make a difference in the world around us is to have such a positive effect. 014 Report
on Sustainability 2018 015 Report on Sustainability 2018 Innovative visual aid that deals with Gear VR,
produced by Samsung's C-Lab, which enhances visibility of low vision persons, is the Samsung Relúm
Tarno, meaning "light up again. After reading this post, the C-Lab participants came up with the notion
that 92% of visually disabled people think they want to watch TV. "I thought it had to be wrong at first,"
says Jonghun Cho, C-Lab Founder. "I also found that the visually impaired are just 14 percent (36
million) of the blind. The remainder of the 86 percent (217 million) are 'low-vision' and will assess the
light-dark discrepancy." When the C-Lab members have discovered that there are millions of people
around the world, including Mr. Noh, who have poor vision but who could be left to live as if they were
blind to their needs because they lack the access to money, they wanted to create a product which could
significantly enhance their quality of life. Mr. Cho said, "I hope that by using high-quality visual aids we
could better your residue vision as glasses could. There is a variety of equipment options on the market
today to help aid low vision, but the problem is that most of them are very expensive, costing thousands
of dollars. Therefore, by using smartphones and virtual reality(VR), we are both widely utilized and offer
something more accessible and affordable. Smartphones and Gear VR are replacing expensive products
of visual aid."
