Visual computing is a generic term for 

all computer
science disciplines dealing with images and 3D
models, such as computer graphics, image processing,
visualization, computer vision, virtual and augmented
reality and video processingAnimation is a method in
which figures are manipulated to appear as moving
images.

As the digital creative industries use increasingly adopt


the technologies of more computer animation and visual
effects in for TtelevisionV, film and design work
production, the demand for people individuals with both
the creative and technical skills to support this the
industry has continued to increased. This includes
emerging fields such as Virtual Production and Virtual
Reality(VR) or Mixed Reality applications.

This course will support these emerging roles in the


creative industries through a combination of practical
and theoretical teaching in the creative process from
idea conception to production.

You will produce digital content in the format of


computer-generated animation or visual effects
sequences, that may be applied in for entertainment,
education and or promotional purposes using standard
tools developing your expertise in computing for the
creative industries.

Application areas include industrial quality control,


medical image processing and visualization, surveying,
robotics, multimedia systems, virtual heritage, special
effects in movies and television, and computer games.

• Demonstrate various graphics primitives and 2-D, 3-


D geometric transformations.

• Comprehend the concepts related three-


dimensional object representations.

• Demonstrate the use of OpenGL to create


interactive computer graphics applications.

• Create 2D and 3D characters and environments.

• Communicate ideas, action, and emotion effectively


by employing principles of animation.
