THE IMPACTS OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY

A. ONE OF THE DISCUSSION QUESTION

How can the negative effects of tourism and hospitality on society be lessened?

 Reducing the contact between hosts and guests by limiting the carrying capacity
of the destination and by regulating the tourist flow.

 Separating the hosts and the tourists within tourists enclaves.

 Designing community education and citizen involvements programs centered on


tourism and hospitality development, policy, and regulatory issues; and

 Expanding human resource development and training programs in all components


of the tourism and hospitality system to include social skills (interpersonal
relations and networking referral tactics).

B. ONE CHAPTER OF ACTIVITY

According to some anthropologist, tourism and hospitality commercializes history and


culture. Explain.

 It is because through tourism and hospitality commercials the people were be able
to understand the hidden cultural values and stories of every tourist sites that their
going to. Through this it enhanced the tourist sites feedback and boost it tourist
percentage.

Social Change - is an alteration in the social order of a society. Social change may
include changes in nature, social institutions, social behaviors, or social relations.

 I do believe that in able for us to possibly conduct a social change, we need to


have unity.

Seasonality - High and low seasonal fluctuations in market demand due to the time of
year specifics of the area’s attractions and its ability to attract visitors.

 Sometimes, foods that I eat change depends on the foods seasonality.

Environmental Impact - is defined as any change to the environment, whether


adverse or beneficial, resulting from a facility’s activities, products, or services.
 I clearly think before I act especially if what I’m doing has something to do with
environmental impact.

Cultural Impact - It refers to patterns of latitude, briefs, behaviors and shared by


members of society

 I usually go to some tourist sites in the town and I was really affected by their
cultural impact.

Land values - is the worth of a piece of property, which includes both the value of the
land itself and any enhancements made to it.

 When I travelled, I learned a lot in terms of its culture, traditions and land values.
