C451/C550/C650/C353/C253/C203 NVRAM Reset tool

About This Firmware:


- This firmware is the NVRAM or Network reset tool. By resetting the NVRAM or network settings,
there are some issues which are caused by the failure of data inside of NVRAM may be
resolved.
- After resetting of the NVRAM, the software switch, HDD, and initial adjustments have to be
made. If the license management error is displayed on the operation panel after resetting the
NVRAM, please perform the license repair procedure. If the error condition could not be resolved
with the license repair procedure, please initialize the license.
- After reset the network setting, it is necessary to configure the network settings.
NVRAM reset procedure
1. Insert flash card into the MFP, and then turn ON main power switch.
2. “Clear Select” display will be indicated. (Refer to fig. below)
3. Select “Yes” under “NVRAM Initialize” as
shown in the screen shot, then the Start
button will be appear Please press start
button to start reset.

4. When the resetting the NVRAM is finished, “Completed” is indicated on the control panel.
Then turn OFF and ON the main power.

NOTE:
When powering ON the Main Power after NVRAM reset, the initialization of the NVRAM will
be performed automatically. This will take about 90 to 120 seconds. Please DO NOT TURN
OFF the main power during that period.
5. Please configure the following after turn powering ON the machine.
In Service Mode:
- System 1>Marketing Area
- System 2>HDD>Installed
- System 2>Option Board Status
- System 2>Image Controller Setting
- System 2>Software Switch Setting (Konica Minolta only)
Switch No: 10
HEX Assignment: 02
6. Turn OFF and ON main power.
7. Please set up the MFP with following the procedure described in the setup manual of the
machine.
8. If the license management error is displayed on the operation panel after resetting the
NVRAM, please perform the license repair procedure. If the error condition could not be
resolved with the license repair procedure, please initialize the license.

Network reset procedure


1. Insert flash card into MFP, and then turn ON main power switch.
2. “Clear Select” display will be indicated. (Refer to fig. below)
3. Select “Yes” under “NIC setting erase ”
as shown in the figure to the right. Then
the Start button will appear Please press
start button to start reset.

4. When “Completed” appears on the Display, turn ON and OFF the main Power.
5. Please configure the network settings.
