CAA Quick Reference Guide

Cloud Adaptive Authentication (CAA) is a security service that protects user and company data in the cloud by occasionally requiring additional identity verification beyond a username and password. It will ask users to register a phone number or authentication mobile app to receive verification codes when accessing cloud services. Implementing CAA helps ensure only the actual user can access cloud accounts and protects both personal and confidential company information. Users will need to register their verification method and watch training videos that demonstrate the registration and validation processes when accessing cloud resources.

Helping Protect You and Our Company's Confidential Information

Quick Reference Guide:

What is CAA?
Cloud Adaptive Authentication (CAA) is security service that protects you and our company’s data in the Cloud. It will, at
times, ask for an additional security validation. For this you are required to choose a method for the service to contact
you (e.g. a phone call or authentication app on your phone) to verify your identity when accessing service like your
email, Danaher Connect, OneDrive and other “Cloud Services”.

Why are we implementing CAA?

Sometimes we cannot be certain that it is you that is accessing a Cloud Service and your username and password might
not be enough to validate that you are who you say you are when signing in. Asking for some additional information
helps to protect both you and our company’s confidential information.

What do I need to do?

You will be required to register a phone or a mobile application to perform the needed authentications. You will receive
emails explaining the process and how to register.

Training and Resources:

A set of videos describes the entire process. The link is on the CAA Home Page on Danaher Connect here:

The videos show you how to use a phone or a mobile application to perform the validation (and more…)

Mobile Authenticator:
