SMEA
S.Y. 2020 – 2021
R.A. 9155 clearly defines shared governance as the management model in the delivery of quality basic
education. It specifies the functional areas to be shared by the various level of management as well as their
differentiated roles. The evolving roles of the schools are consistent with the national educational policies, plans and
standards. Through this, the conduct of SMEA or the School Monitoring, Evaluation and Adjustment is mandated at
all levels. This is to provide objective information that can inform decision-making for continuously improving the
organizational performance for efficient and effective fulfillment of the division mandate and the delivery of education
services to achieve the desired output and sustainability of Education outcomes.
Spearheaded by our very own dynamic Principal, Miss Assumption T. Cañar, the Rosalino L. Arreglado
Elementary School conducted the 1st quarter SMEA conference last April 5, 2021 at exactly 9:00 in the morning.
Before the start of the conference, our school was able to follow the health and safety protocol set by the IATF or
Inter Agency Task Force under DepEd Order 14 s.2020 or the Guidelines or the Required Health Standards in Basic
Education Offices and Schools which ensure safe educational continuity amidst the challenges of COVID -19. Upon
entering the gate, visitors are required to wear facemask, do handwashing, get their body temperature and sanitize
their hands. They are also able to maintain a physical distancing at the conference venue. The program started with
an opening prayer and followed by the singing of the national anthem through multimedia. Afterwhich, Mrs. Melba B.
Enverzo, a grade 3 adviser was called to have an opening remark. It was then followed by Mrs. Lyn B. Tiongzon for
the rollcall of the participants.
The School M & E Coordinator, Miss Angel Gella D. Gelig, formally presented the main agenda of the
conference which was about SMEA. She then presented the issues and concerns of the school, the corrective and
preventive measures of the issues and the time frame. After which, Miss Assumption T. Cañar presided for further
discussion of the said issues and concerns. She also presented the status of the School’s enrolment and the
teachers’ workload at school and at home. The School’s MOOE was also discussed, the projects accomplished were
also clarified as well as the upcoming projects that would soon be realized. She also explained everything about the
reproduction and preparation of modules especially the difficulty of hauling such modules/hometask. After her
presentation, Mrs. Marites B. Yucte, our Edcom barangay official gave her response on the issues and concerns.
Enjoined by the supportive PTA officials, stakeholders, teachers and parents, the conference was a success
and a productive one.
