User On boarding

Existing EFP system users

Users accessing EFP portal ( https://efp.bpcl.in/irj/portal ) can use their existing password for accessing
eConnect portal ( https://econnect.bpcl.in/ ). They can access eConnect portal using their existing user
id & password from EFP system.

On completion of authentication, user will be prompted to select and answer ‘Challenge Response
questions’ which would be useful for unlocking the account using ‘Trouble logging in?’ option.

On saving Challenge Response answers, user gets logged in and default ‘My Info’ screen of portal is
displayed.

New user registration

New users can register in eConnect Portal using the ‘Self Registration’ option in initial screen.

On clicking ‘Self Registration’ option, in the next screen, details as per BPCL records need to be provided
by the user to complete the registration process.

On entering the required details and clicking on the SIGN UP button, if all details match with BPCL
records, message saying successful user creation is displayed and also, as indicated in the message, an
activation E-Mail is sent to user (to the E-Mail id used for registration) for activating the account.

User needs to click on the link sent in the activation mail to activate the account.

On clicking the activation link a screen is displayed to select a new password for the user. After entering
the password and clicking on the SAVE button, a confirmation message is shown to the user asking to re-
login with the new password.

User needs to login with the new password set.

On completion of authentication with the new password set, user will be prompted to select and answer
‘Challenge Response questions’ which would be useful for unlocking the account using ‘Trouble logging
in?’ option.

On saving Challenge Response answers, user gets logged in and default ‘My Info’ screen of portal is
displayed.

Trouble Logging In?

Users can reset their forgotten password using the ‘Trouble Logging In?’ options in initial screen of
eConnect portal.

On clicking ‘Trouble Logging in?’ button, a screen is displayed, asking for user id of the user. User needs
to enter the user id and click on RESET/UNLOCK button.

On clicking RESET/UNLOCK button, a screen is displayed asking for choosing a method of password
retrieval.

Send an sms token method, sends an OTP to the mobile number registered, on clicking of the ‘Send sms
token’, button.

User needs to enter the OTP received on the mobile number and click on ‘Submit’ button.

On submitting OTP, user gets a screen to select new password and unlock the account.

On click of Unlock Account button, a screen is displayed confirming reset of password.

User can choose to use the ‘Challenge Response Questions’ option to reset password / unlock account.

Change Password / Challenge Response

Users after logging into portal, can change password / challenge response questions from the menu ‘Self
Service Center’.

On selection of ‘Change Password’ option, in the next screen, user can set new password after
confirming the existing password.

On clicking ‘Challenge response’ option, screen to make changes to challenge response questions is
shown to user.

Sub User Management:

Partners can create sub-users and provide restricted access to applications authorized by them.

Sub-user Creation
Self-Service Center -> Create Sub User

Enter the details for the Sub User and click on Submit

On clicking Submit the following screen will appear. The Sub user – CC123456_01 has been created for
the user : CC123456

Sub-User can click on the activation link in the mail sent to activate the account. Please refer to User On
boarding section for further details on account activation using activation link.

Assigning applications to Sub Users / Manage Sub Users
Click on Access Management -> Manage User

Click on the Sub User Name to whom you wish to assign applications for access.

In the next screen, user has option to Activate / De-Activate / Set Password of Sub User / Assign
Applications to Sub User for access.

The Sub User Details will be displayed. Click on User Entitlements

In order to assign applications to the Sub User, Click on Add Resource

All the applications available to the Primary User (Logged On user) will be displayed.

From this list, new applications can be assigned to the Sub User by clicking on + sign.

Eg. If you want to add the first application in the list i.e. GST Registration, click on + sign against the
application.

The following screen will be displayed and the application will get assigned to the sub-user.

The GST Registration application will now be shown in the Entitled Resources for the Sub User.

If you wish to remove the assigned application to the Sub User, click on x displayed against the
application.

The following message will be displayed. Click on Execute.The application will now be removed from the
list of entitled applications to the Sub User.

Once the Sub User log’s in he can only see the applications assigned to him by the Primary User.

Application Access:

Post logging in to portal, users (both primary and sub users) can access applications allocated to them
using menu options, My Applications & Reports.
