The document discusses a consultation with an assistant principal about work order requests at a high school. Most requests were for plumbing issues like water leaks in sinks, bathrooms, toilets and fountains. Other requests were for phone lines and salt spreaders. The recommendation is to inspect and fix water areas in the summer and keep a schedule to replace lights consistently.

I consulted with Mr. Travis Austin, an assistant principal at Huntington High School, on

work order requests that have been made this year. He was able to print off a four-page

document highlighting those different work orders. At first glance, I could not believe all the

things that had to be fixed around our school! Most of the issues at Huntington High revolved

around plumbing/water issues. Water leaks are a majority of the work order requests placed.

They occurred in sinks, bathrooms, toilets, and water fountains. Then there were a multitude of

other work orders placed on teacher and principal phone lines. With it being winter season

there was also a work order for salt spreaders to maintain safety on the walk ways. The rest of

the work orders were focused on lights around the school

After looking at the report, my only recommendation is that all water areas be inspected

and fixed during the summer before school starts that way those leaks don’t occur when

students and staff report in August. I would also document when all lights have been replaced

and try to keep all lights on a consistent schedule where they are being replaced/fixed at the

same time. This will save on time and money do to logistical information.
