 Coolers and evaporators

 Transport and storage
 Material handeling
PID and PFD (4 hours)
 Flow sheet.
 PID and PFD.
 symbols.
Safety in chemical industries (6 hours)
 Hazard definition
 Methods of hazard analysis
 Individual safety
 Behavior based safety
 Literature citations
 The text of the Technical Report

GRADING
The grades for the work pursued during semester will be distributed as follows:
Year work 10
Midterm 10
Final exam 45

ASSINMENT:

All studentsmay be requested to form subgroups of three to five students/ group. Each group will pick-
up a topic and will prepare a report on the selected topic. The final report will be due towards the end
of the semester. Each group will be required to deliver an oral presentation on the subject of the report.
Meanwhile, many library visits will take place to help the students learn how to search in the library.
