Direction: Perform each activity and place your answer on a separate paper. Activity 1.1 Be Familiar
Identify the term/s as being described.
1. This is the researcher’s perception in arriving a solution to a problem. - Improve awareness and
perception. Some researchers think in terms of a single research problem and a number of research
questions that arise from it. It may be useful to think of problems as coming out of your business data
.Research questions are a tool you use to solve those business problems.
2. The term refers to transforming a concept into a variable. - In this chapter, we continue to build the
ideas and concepts that are necessary for you to plan and do quantitative research. To that end, we look
at some examples of concepts and the operations that transform them into variables. We examine
different kinds of variables and the roles that they play in research,
3. Proven and tested theories are included on this visual model. -The logical empiricists tried to account
for this by appeal to the objectivity and ... Instead, it is a non-linguistic structure which can function as a
semantic model of its visual experiences should have agreed with his theory that burning and in water
level indicated how much phlogiston the gas contained
4. This is the source of the variables used in making the conceptual framework. - A conceptual
framework illustrates what you expect to find through your research. It defines the relevant variables for
your study and maps out how they might relate to each other. You should construct a conceptual
framework before you begin collecting data. It is often represented in a visual format
Construct A Model Using the background knowledge or context below, create your own conceptual
framework that reflects your field of specialization or strand. Be sure to follow the guidelines in
constructing the framework. Your output will be rated using this rubric:

Make an illustration of a conceptual framework by basing on the abstract on the study entitled “Dengue
Knowledge and Preventive Practices among Rural Residents in Samar Province, Philippines.” Variables
may be found in the underlined phrases.

1. Conceptual Framework is researcher's own constructed model that s/he uses to explain the
relationship that exists between the main variables in his/her study. - The theoretical and conceptual
framework explains the path of a research. It is a blueprint that is often 'borrowed' by the researcher to
build his/her own s/he uses to explain the relationship that exists between the main variables in model
in an existing theory which a researcher adapts to suit his/her research purpose.
2. Theoretical Framework is based on existing theory/theories in the literature which has been tested
and validated by other scholars. - Theories are formulated to explain, predict, and understand. The
theoretical framework is the structure that can hold or support a theory reference to relevant scholarly
literature, existing theory that is used for. Building theoretical frameworks based on the postulates and
hypotheses developed in other
3. Guide in Constructing the Framework When making the conceptual framework, it is customary that
the independent variable is placed at the left side and the dependent variable is on the right side.
Arrows are used to connect the variables that may indicate the relationship between them. - A
conceptual framework is used to illustrate the variables you will study and the relationships you expect
to find between them. You should construct a conceptual framework before you begin collecting we'll
work with just one independent variable, namely “hours of study.” Arrow, Causal relationship.
4. Defining the terms used in the study is necessary as a result when concepts or constructs are
translated to become variables which need to be observable and measurable. This is done by describing
the term not necessarily coming from dictionary but on how it is used in the research. -In your
conceptual definitions you explain what your constructs are by showing how they. Your operational
definitions describe the variables you will use as indicators and the i.e. why is it also necessary to have a
conceptual definition? definition, but it doesn't mean anything and it is not related to other concepts.
What I Can Do
Applying the guide and the process on how to construct such framework, formulate your visual model
based on your statement of the problem that you have written. Write a brief explanation on your
diagram with emphasis on the identified variables. Submit your output as soon as possible together with
this module.

Directions: Read each question carefully and place your response on a separate
paper.

II. DISCUSSION OF CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK. Base on the diagram below, write C if the statement is
CORRECT and NC if it is NOT CORRECT
