CONFIGURATION OF A LAN EXTENDER(TECH ROUTES TC-505F)

1. Connect the LAN extender to any PC, set the IP of PC as 192.168.0.20(instead of 20 it can be
any number b/w 1 to 255)
and set gateway as 192.168.0.1

2. After setting the IP of PC and connecting LAN extender with it, wait for some time , open
internet browser and access the ip: 192.168.0.1
This is default ip of LAN extender. A window will pop up asking username and password

Username: root
Password : admin
3. After log in following screen will be displayed
4. Click on configuration then on IP , following screen will be displayed

5. Click on blue mark below action tab for changing the ip.

Change the ip address as per requirement. For dhristi systems


gateway should be 192.168.7.1. IP address should also be in same
network. Click apply and go to system tools.

6. In system tools click on save configuration and proceed further, after


some time following screen will be displayed
7. Once this screen is displayed, change the IP address of PC in the
same network as of new IP address of LAN extender i.e
192.168.7.4(this 4 can be any number b/w 1 to 255 except IP given to
LAN extender and gateway)
8. Wait for some time and again access the new IP of LAN extender via
browser for ex. 192.168.7.13 in this case,

Username : root
Password : admin
After log in, again click on system tools then save configuration,
following window will open

9. Now again click on configuration menu then on G.shdsl then on DSL,


following window will be opened
Select the service type either RT or CO. Two LAN extenders are used
in Dhristi system communication one is to made RT and other is to
be CO.
After this again go to system tools and save configuration.
10. Now LAN extender is configured , for more information manual
of this LAN extender may be referred.
