Examples of Resultant Force and Moment

The document provides examples for solving static engineering mechanics problems involving force systems. It gives three examples of determining the magnitude and direction of the resultant force of two or more forces acting on a body. It also gives an example of calculating the moment of a force about a given point. The examples show setting up free body diagrams, identifying the x and y components of individual forces, summing the forces using trigonometric functions, and determining the resultant force and its direction.
