J DESCRIPTION D The new Fortuner/Hilux SW4 uses a door lock control system. For details on the provision, see Equipment List on page MO-23. D The door lock control system is controlled by the body ECU. However, some functions are controlled by the theft warning ECU*1, which transmits the door lock/unlock signals to the integration relay. D This system has the following functions: Function Outline This function, which is linked with the driver ’s door key cylinder, can lock or unlock Key-linked all doors when a lock or unlock operation is effected while the driver ’s seat belt is Lock and Unlock not fastened. This function can lock or unlock all doors by the door lock control switch of the Manual Lock and Unlock driver operation. · This function is controlled by the theft warning ECU*1. · All doors will be locked when all doors are closed and the vehicle reaches a speed Speed-sensitive Automatic of 25 km/h. Door Lock*2 · This function can be disabled together with the ignition switch-linked automatic door unlock function, according to user preference. For details, refer to the Fortuner/Hilux SW4 Repair Manual. · This function is controlled by the theft warning ECU*1. · After all doors are locked through the operation of the speed-sensitive automatic door lock function, turning the ignition switch OFF will automatically unlock all Ignition Switch-linked the doors. Automatic Door Unlock*2 · This function can be disabled together with the speed-sensitive automatic door lock function according to user preference. For details, refer to the Fortuner/Hilux SW4 Repair Manual. BE Door Lock with Transmitter Pressing the lock button of the transmitter locks all doors. (see page BE-74) Door Unlock with Transmitter Pressing the unlock button of the transmitter unlocks all doors. (see page BE-74)
