Felix Amante Senior High School Project RELAX (Reading with Enthusiasm, Love and
Appreciation for Excellence) in general is designed to provide opportunities for Senior High
School students to read for pleasure while promoting the value of reading.
For this year as the country battles against health crisis, reading has become even more
important. Educational institutions are much more encouraged to sustain literacy among learners
of all ages. This is in connection with DepEd’s commitment to provide quality, accessible,
relevant and liberating basic education for all and to lay the foundation for lifelong learning and
service for the common good.
With this, FASHS (through Project RELAX) is enjoined to hold activities for Grades 11 and
12 students as part of the 2020 Reading Month Celebration.

Now, with the digital shift forced upon us by the pandemic, reading and comprehension are
now more essential. And because we’re all hostages of the virus, our only means of travel, at
least for the time being, is through reading.
1. Motivate FASHS students to read more often during the time of pandemic,
2. Boost positive mental health among senior high school students through recreational
reading activities, and
3. Promote student’s love and interest in reading across the curriculum.
Seventy-five percent (75%) of both Grade 11 and Grade 12 students will participate in the
School-Based Reading Month Celebration.
