ENTREPRENEURSHIP
BUSINESS PLAN OUTLINE
1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Spanish colonial era when the invention of the tabo began, it was NOT used with a
toilet - this is because the toilet was not commonly used until 1850. It was used in the
kitchen to pour water for drinking or cleaning, or at the front door to wash guests'
hands and feet as an all-purpose household item. In essence, the tabo reveals the
Filipino fascination with cleanliness. The modern tabo came from the American
introduction to plastic and it is only recently that the tabo has been relegated to the
bathroom. In addition, today's tabo is the traditional Filipino hygiene tool primarily for
cleansing, bathing, and cleaning the bathroom floor. The tabo could be used most
often in the provinces, although it is also frequently used in the cities. When
plastic tabo widely used in the country, there are some issues regarding the use of
plastic.
The change in the tabo or water dipper design made Filipinos feel back to the old era,
especially those in provinces. TABUKO made an innovation that would greatly benefit all
Filipinos regarding the issue of the modern plastic tabo. TABUKO prevents pollution by
reducing the need for plastic materials. Also, Reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills by
using the TABUKO instead of the traditional Filipino hygiene tool, which is tabo. Furthermore,
it helps our surroundings to have a peaceful environment because of the avoidance of plastic
materials.
1.1.1 Water dipper or tabo is known to be in every Filipino household and it was
introduced to tourists that visited our country. We use it for hygiene purposes and
became part of our everyday lives. Our product on the other hand is an enhanced
version of ordinary tabos. Since coconut waste and plastic waste can have
disadvantages into our environment, why not put a use to it and lessen plastic
pollution? The idea for the product came up to that reason. When coconut husks
rot over time, in its process, it may smell or generate methane gas which is
explosive and can affect negatively to the greenhouse effect and causes pollution.
1.1.2 The researchers come up with the idea of coconut shell as a water dipper as an
alternative for “Tabo” or plastic water dipper. TABUKO is a simple coconut waste
shell that made into a water dipper. The reason why the researchers used coconut
shell is to avoid the pollution in the Philippines. Many of you might ask that
coconut shells are very easy to crack or not durable. Therefore, in order to make a
durable coconut shell water dipper, the researchers will be going to use
Elastomeric Polyurethane as a coating for the coconut shell. Elastomeric
Polyurethane is a Polyurethane material that has a characteristic of the elastic.
Entrepreneurship Page 7
Business Proposal
Elastomeric Polyurethane mostly used in insulation of car, building and wooden
object to make it durable. Since, the Philippines is the second largest coconut
plantation in the world, which has an approximately 3.56 million hectares, the
Davao city is the main source of coconut shell of the researchers which is the top
– coconut producer in the Philippines.TABUKO can be used may it could be in
watering the plants, flushing the toilet and cleaning the bathroom as we all know
that Filipino always used water dipper in their daily lives.

On September 7, the company began collecting ideas until September 12. After gathering
ideas, the company started doing product formulation on the other day. The company
continued the job by doing the data gathering from September 15 until September 17. The next
day, after gathering data, the company distributed various tasks to every employee that is
needed to be accomplished. Then, they began the canvas of materials on September 19 to 20,
and the company’s budgeting was also done on the last day of doing the canvas materials.
Subsequently, the layout design for the product lasted for two days, which occurred from
September 21 to September 22, as well as the product proposal was done on the first day of
doing the product layout design. The company scheduled a product defense afterwards that
should be done on exactly October 11. From that day forward, the employees were given 4
days to revise the product proposal. The finalization of product layout design was then
accomplished in two days, from October 16 to October 18. The preparation of the materials
was also carried out from October 18 until October 20. Thereafter, the company began to
compile the business requirements. Since then, the company started the production testing
and began to pack the product that lasted for 5 days. Finally, the company did the production

4.2.1.2 Quality control is vital to creating a successful organization that produces goods that
meet or exceed the needs of clients. It also forms the idea of an efficient company that
minimizes waste and works at high productivity levels. The business will implement local
health, safety inspector, or a government regulatory authority and industry association.
4.2.2.1 In starting our business, the TABUKO Company should comply business requirements
required by the government. A range of legal requirements may affect the business. This
provides a secure workplace atmosphere where individuals feel comfortable to come to work,
to be themselves, and to go about their business.
All of these things help to grow the enterprise quickly and with a positive reputation. People
like doing business with companies that they trust and like. This is the first step in creating a
greater public reputation for success if the team follows the rules and regulations. Here are the
legal requirements we need to consider for our business to operate legally:
The first and for most to do is to register our business name. It is not only compulsory to
legitimize its legal entity, but also to authorize it to engage legally in business, to issue
receipts, to trade financial assets and to be entitled to certain rights under the corporate and
investment laws of the country.
The mayor's permit or business permit, related to the barangay clearance, guarantees that
your business complies with all the laws of the specific city or municipality in which you
operate.
The Certificate of Registration is secured when a business or company is opened. With this,
the company can print official receipts, record account books, pay business-related taxes, and
provide each of its workers with a Tax Identification Number (TIN). If our is registered with
