    What is a Job Application Letter?


     This kind of letter is written to apply for a job / service.
     Generally it is written in response to an advertisement published in a newspaper.

    There are two parts of a Job Application:


     Covering Letter (written in the format of a formal letter)
     Bio-data / Resume / Curriculum Vitae

    Distribution of Marks
    Max. Marks: 5 Marks
    Format – 1 Mark
    Content – 2 Marks
    Expression – 2 Marks
    (Grammatical accuracy, vocabulary, spellings, coherence and relevance)

    Sample Question:
    You are Nipun/ Aparna Verma of 23, Rama Villa, Race Course Road, Bhopal, M.P.
    Pioneers (Pvt.) Ltd. Co., Hyderabad has advertised the requirement of an accountant,
    in The Times of India. Write a letter in 100-120 words, responding to the
    advertisement, submitting your candidature with a detailed bio-data.
