Presentation On Solar Tree

A solar tree is a structure that uses multiple solar panels arranged like the branches and leaves of a tree to harness solar energy. It was first developed in 2008 and designed to be an aesthetically pleasing way to generate renewable electricity without requiring much land. Solar trees work by converting sunlight into direct current electricity through photovoltaic cells on the panels, then converting it to alternating current that can power homes or be added to the energy grid. They provide clean, feasible power for rural areas and reduce energy costs over time despite having higher initial installation costs than some other solar options.

 In 1800 solar energy plants developed.

 In 1941 Russell ohl invented solar cell.
 Solar tree foundation which began in 2008 by Rein

 What is solar tree
 Why we call it as solar
tree.
 How solar panel works
 Advantages
 Disadvantages
 Conclusion
 Powerful energy source , intensity at
surface is low.

 Solar power is the conversion

of energy from sunlight into
electricity, either directly using
photovoltaics, indirectly using
concentrated solar power, or a
combination.
A solar tree is a decorative means of producing solar energy and also electricity. It uses
multiple no. of solar panels which forms the shapes of a tree. The panels are arranged in a
tree fashion in a tall tower/pole.

Tree stands for

T = tree generating
R = renewable
E = energy
E = electricity

This is like a tree in a structure and the panels are like leaves of the tree
which produces energy.
Tree can produce their own food material by the process
called PHOTOSYNTHESIS.
Leaves are producing food materials for human beings.
Likewise in solar tree solar panels are producing energy for
the society.
Photosynthesis cell converts sunlight
into electric energy and this effect is
known as photovoltaic cell.
Solar cells essentially create electricity
by converting photons of light into
electrons.
Solar cells producing direct current , or
DC , this DC current is converted to
alternating current , or AC by using
inverter.
 No pollution generated.
Electricity can be
accessed/feasible in rural areas.
Cost effective in the long run.
Land requirement is very less.
Efficient energy generation.
Aesthetically built.
 Cost is high.
 May cause hazards to the birds
and insects.
 Hazards to eyesight from solar
reflectors.
 To fulfill the increasing
energy demand for the
people.
 Saving of land, this project
is very successful one.
 This can provide electricity
without any power cut
problem.
 The extra energy can be
provided to the grid.
