Together, Hand in Hand We Can Make It Possible!

The Brigada Eskwela Program is one of the most important programs in DepEd. St. Francis National High
School conducted the 2020 Brigada Eskwela with the theme, “Pagpapanatili ng Bayanihan Tungo sa Kalidad
na Edukasyon para sa Kabataan”, from May 18 to 23, 2020. The School Brigade is the National Schools
Maintenance Week that aims to bring together all the stakeholders, other individuals who are willing to share
resources, to participate and contribute their time and effort, to improves the country’s public-school
education and the school facilities for the opening of the school year. This program showed us the image of
barrio men and other people from different sectors of our society, volunteering themselves to clean the school
facilities such as school grounds, room windows and doors, repaint walls and blackboards that are too rough
to write on, repairing chairs with broken armrests or even legs, fences and gates for it to be conducive for
learning and a child friendly school for the upcoming school year.

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”-Helen Keller

In line with the Brigada Eskwela Program, the Local Government Unit of Limay constructed hand-washing
facilities in every schools in the municipality to prevent the spread of viruses brought by covid-19. The well-
timed initiative of the local government guarantees the teachers, parents and the learners that the safety and
proper sanitation of school environment will surely be maintained for the safety and goodness of everyone in
the school. The LGU’s also took the lead in repainting the school buildings to make the school environment
much pleasant and conducive for learning. The beautification of school premises had encouraged students to
enroll in our school even in this time of pandemic. Clean and beautiful classrooms and surroundings give the
students eagerness to go in school and make them feel safe and comfortable inside the school premises though
they will not undergo the traditional in-classroom set-up by October this year, Honorable Mayor Nelson C.
David together with Vice-Mayor Richie David, the local school board of Limay and our beloved School
Principal, Mrs. Jenenlyn E. Sibayan wants to make sure that until such time the pandemic is gone and it is
already possible to conduct a traditional in-classroom set-up, it is ready and available for use.

People who have joined this school year Brigada Eskwela had committed to do the same thing again and
willing to help the school in any of its endeavor to make the said institution be a better place not only for its
students but the entire stakeholders as well.
