Glue Gun

This patent describes a glue gun with the following key features: 1) It has an elongated tubular melt chamber that heats and melts a solid adhesive rod near one end and converges to a smaller diameter at the other end connected to a discharge nozzle. 2) A heating element heats the adhesive in the melt chamber. A plunger pushes the melted adhesive through the nozzle. 3) A valve in the nozzle normally closes a discharge orifice but opens when a pin extending through the orifice is engaged by the work surface. A spring urges the plunger forward.
