Fortune on Wheels!
Read the paragraph below, then carefully study on what your decisions would be if you were in the
situation.
Your good deed of returning a case of jewelries and diamonds you accidentally found on a
public transport was rewarded by a rich businessman. He gave you a huge amount of money that will
surely change your life. Your next move is to use the money wisely, and to make sure that every
move you make leads to promote common good.

In making such decision, what are your considerations? Why?

I would probably use my money wisely for the needs of my family, and invest my savings on
bank.

List down some of your expenditures.

My expenditures: Food, House Supplies, Bills, Debts,

Is it worth your money? Why?

Yes, my expenditures are very essential since these meet the needs of my family.
Even I have huge amount of money, I would still discipline myself and save
my money through investment for future expenses.

At this time of pandemic, what should be your priorities?

At this time of pandemic, my priorities are to ensure the health, the safety of my
family. To provide the needs, and to seek online job to earn money even the midst of
this pandemic.

Do you find it hard to come up with a decision? Why? Why not?

Yes, since during pandemic, money is very hard to find. Without money, we
cannot sustain the needs of my family. But when we make a good decision,
when we use money wisely, we can survive this pandemic.
Processing Questions:

How did you come up with such decisions?

I came up with this decision by knowing my responsibilities as a daughter. I am
very thoughtful to my family and I want to provide everything for them through my
abilities and being a wise-thinker.

Who influenced your decision-making skills?

My parents influenced me when it comes to make hard decisions especially

when it comes to invest/save money.

Are you happy with your decisions? Why?

Yes, because this decision gave a positive outcome, and it helps me to grow, and to be able to decide
wisely.

You Decide!
Read the following statements. Carefully decide on the best thing to do when faced with these
situations. Then, write your insights on a clean sheet of paper.

• Two of your friends are having conflict and often disturb your peace of mind.
How would you handle this situation?

If two of my friends are having a disagreement, I will encourage them to speak

about it, and I will listen to both sides of the story. Concentrate on the problem at
hand rather than how they feel about each other. I would counsel them to recognize
that each other's points of view are different, but not incorrect. Finally, I will assist
them in resolving any conflicts they may have.

• Describe a time you made an unpopular decision. How did you handle the
feedback? How would you have handled the situation differently?

When I make an unpopular choice, I simply disregard negative comments since it

has no effect on the issue. Rather of dwelling on the bad, I concentrated on ways to
redirect attention and improve the situation.

• Do you usually make better decisions alone or with a group? Why? When do you
ask for help?

Yes, I am capable of making choices on my own, particularly if the problem is

controllable. However, there are times when circumstances are beyond my control and
I am forced to seek assistance, and unity is necessary.

• In your experience, when you’re working on a group project, do you make the
most decisions or do you prefer to step back and follow someone else’s
guidelines?

Yes, I often make the most tough decisions to overcome and win life. To be bold, to
believe in myself with determination is what Ieads me to success.
• In areas under General Community Quarantine, many have opened business
establishments amidst the rising cases of Covid-19. However, health protocols are being
implemented to ensure public safety so that usual business transactions continue. Our
economy is badly affected by this worldwide health crisis but life moves on, citizens are
caught in between working for a living or staying at home for safety health reasons.
What is your stand on this?

While the epidemic we are now experiencing is very alarming, it is not a reason to cease living.
Indeed, it strengthens our will to bear the consequences. Working facing the risk of a pandemic
demonstrates one of our strengths. While it is safer to remain at home, what will become of us if we
keep hiding behind our walls? Therefore, it is prudent to face the risk and expose this kind of
circumstances. We acquire adequate awareness to defend ourselves.

Processing Questions:
1. How did you find the activity? What were your thoughts and feelings while
answering?
The activity is quite hard and it helps me to think what is right and what is
wrong choices to do.
2. In making a decision, what are the things that you need to consider?
Making decisions does not have to be difficult. When dealing with a major decision, the
most critical consideration is the option's impact on the persons involved. Many bad
choices are reversible; but, the more people impacted by the decision, the more difficult
it is to change the situation. Consider the impact on your life and the lives of others while
making a decision and react appropriately.
3. Who are the people that mostly influence your decisions? Why?
Countless things influenced to our growth as individuals - including our parents, friends,
acquaintances, and even our religion. When we were young, our parents served as our
role models for good actions.
4. Does this pandemic situation somehow affected your decision-making? How?
Yes, the pandemic crisis affected my decision-making.   Considering the nature of this season,
some things must be considered before reaching a final decision. Whether it's a choice that has to
be taken inside my own house or elsewhere. My decision-making seems to be influenced by the
new norma
