How does easySTP work?

easySTP combines the advantages of two biological process; anaerobic and aerobic. Upto 70% of reduction
in BOD happens with anaerobic process and the remaining in aerobic system. The problems associated
with anaerobic digestion like foul smell are avoided by recirculating sludge from clarifier to anaerobic tank.
This continues recirculation results in very high quality treated water. Sludge will have high settling quality
giving treated with low suspended solids.

Highly engineered settling tank design and sludge re-circulation mechanism eliminates the need for a
pressure sand filter.

Chlorine tablets are used for disinfection before treated water is discharged. All these innovations make
easySTP totally maintenance free.

discharge standards of PCB

AUTOMATION FEATURES & BENEFITS

All easySTPs come with functional electro-mechanical equipment as below:

1 Air Pumps 2 (1 working + 1 standby) 2 Water Transfer Pump

The Operation & control is focused on reducing power consumption and empowering the owner to
know about the STP operational status and also maintain a record of the quantity and quality of sewage
processed.

All easySTPs are provided with an electronic control panel for automatic operation.
100% Automation: Operation of air blowers and transfer pump is automatic. Working / Standby air
blowers interchange as per time set in the panel automatically.

Failure Protection: If any blower (working / standby) trips or stops functioning for any reason,
the other one will start working automatically. An alert is sent by SMS to the user to attend the
problem immediately.

Eco Mode: When sewage flows are lesser, Eco Mode reduces blower operation and saves electricity.
If the sewage load is 50%, the power consumption will be 50% only. Great !!! Isn’t it?

Micro-processor Design: Innovative micro processor based automation eliminates the complexity
of PLC & HMI. Our micro processor is reliable and user friendly.

GSM Module: All control panels are provided with a GSM module for two way communication.
Mobile App: A user friendly mobile app (beta version) is available to all easySTP customers. Mobile
app user will know the functional status of the easySTP in realtime and check the quality / quality of
sewage processed in a given duration. Customer can request for service or book a complaint on the
mobile app itself.

Critical Alerts: Critical alerts are pre-programmed in the easySTP Panel. General alert conditions
are air blower failure, transfer pump failure, service over due. An SMS is sent to the registered mobile
number whenever a critical situation arises.

No Maintenance: Only regular maintenance is to clean the bar screen in the easySTP inlet. easySTP
functions 24 X 7 X 365 without any dedicated operator.

Power Monitor: It is a statutory requirement to record the power consumption and sewage flow.
Both these parameters are meticulously recorded in the panel.

Service Due Alert:The easySTP is intelligent and keeps track of the service requirement. On panel
displays the next service due date and when service is over due an LED will be flashing. A critical alert
SMS is sent informing about service overdue.

Holiday Mode: For offices and educational institutions where sewage flows are less during weekend,
a holiday mode can be set in the easySTP panel to further reduce power consumption. In holiday mode,
blower will function 10% time only effecting 90% savings on power consumption. If blower is switched
off completely, bacteria will not survive.

INSTALLATION OPTIONS

easySTP has to be installed below ground in such a way that sewage directly flows in. Treated water
outlet may be connected to rain water harvesting pit or percolation chambers or municipal drains.

Suresh Kumar with a Master’s Degree in Business Management is a pioneer in water industry. Started business
career in 1999 with Reverse Osmosis. Installed more than 500 RO Plants within 3 years and brought RO water
into thousands of Fluroide effected homes.

Developed Electro-coagulation for Industrial Wastewater and Sewage Treatment. Today hundred plus STPs
are working with Electro-coagulation process.

Launched pre-fabricated modular MBBR STPs in 2010. His quest is for making sewage treatment operator free
and user friendly. After worldwide search for technologies for sewage treatment, zeroed-in on a popular and
proven Japanese process and set up manufacturing ‘easySTP’ in 2018.
