Round-wise Rules for Antakshari

Round – 1 “Shabd jaal”

 One word would be given to each team and that team would have to sing the first two lines of songs,
having the given word.

 The given word must come in the first four lines. For example if the word is “deewana”, the team can
sing the following songs‐

1. deewana le ker aaya hai…………………………….

2. deewana mujhsa nahi………………………………

3. Yeh Dil deewana ……………………………

 The team would have to sing as many such songs as possible in one minute’s time. The songs must be
sung in their original speed not faster.

 If the Mukhada is not sung completely, then no marks would be given.

 Different words would be given to each team.

 There would be 1 round for each team.

Marking‐

• 10 mark for each right song.

• No minus marking in this round.

Duration of the round – 15-20 minutes

Round ‐2 “Hum Bane Tum Bane EK DOOJE KE LIYE”

 Guess the Jodi – 10 sec


 The participant will have to sing a song from any of the films starring this pair.
 1 question for each team

Marking –

• Guessing the Jodi – 15 marks Total 30 marks

• Singing the right song – 15 marks

Duration of the round – 15 - 20 minutes


Round ‐ 3 “Sun pyar ki dhun”

 This will be an audio round, based on Hindi film songs.


• The signature tune of a song /Dhun will be played on the audio player for about 10 seconds.
 The participants will have to recognize the song correctly and sing the mukhda of the song
 For Brownie Point (Guess movie name)– If a participant chooses to guess the movie name, they
must guess the movie name and notify the emcee in order to earn points before singing the
song.

Marking –

• Guessing the right song – 10 marks Total 20 marks


• Guessing the right movie name – 10 marks
• Minus five for wrong answer if they say wrong movie name
• Minus five for singing the incomplete or wrong words of mukhda.

Duration of the round – 15 - 20 minutes
