answer

 Yes, teaching profession can fulfill all the elements of a profession. To fulfill this
profession of course you should finish or completed a college program or to take
a 4-year course for you to be able to be competent and knowledgeable enough in
the future and also it is very important as it was the first step to fulfill the first
element which is the Initial Professional Education. Before choosing a school,
it is important that you have a clear picture of exactly who accredits the school
and what that accreditation means for your future. Accreditation is a voluntary
evaluation process that institutions of higher education undergo in order to
maintain standards of educational quality agreed upon by members of an
accrediting body. After is the Licensing a teacher should take the Licensure

socially and economically. Lastly is Adherence to the code of ethics it is a

guide of principles designed to help professionals conduct business honestly and
with integrity. A code of ethics document may outline the mission and values of
the business or organization, how professionals are supposed to approach
problems, the ethical principles based on the organization's core values, and the
standards to which the professional is held. Therefore, these are all the
requirements or the elements that teachers need possess to become
professional teacher.

3. Discuss the demands of society from the teacher as a person

 As an effective teacher we should be aware or knowledgeable enough about the

demands of the society as we choose this path from the very first place. We are
expected to do our job precisely in a sense that every student can learn a lot
from us and become a better one in the future. This is why the society expect so
much from the teachers. It is very important for a teacher to possess good
qualities as she/he serve as a role model such as;
 Prepare -come to class each day ready to teach.
 Positive -have optimistic attitudes about teaching and about students.
 Hold high expectation -set no limits on students and believe everyone
can be successful.

seriously

give the highest respect get the highest respect.

4. Cite the personal qualities that a professional teacher should possess

 Good Teachers Are Strong Communicators – Above all, teachers must have
the ability to communicate their subject-matter expertise to facilitate classroom
learning and participation. Students depend on their teachers to provide them
with instruction, guidance and feedback throughout the learning process
 Good Teachers Listen Well – Not only the student who will listen to the
teacher’s discussion but also the teacher will listen to the student so that
teachers will easily understand the needs of their students.

 Good Teachers Have Patience – No matter what grade level you're teaching,
your patience will be tested while working as an educator.
 Good Teachers Value Real-World Learning - Teachers who bring their
students’ learning into the real world are often some of the most engaging. But
it’s important for teachers to bring their own learning into the real world, too. One
of the best preparations for effective teaching is to ensure that education
students get plenty of classroom experience early on in their degree programs.
 Good Teachers Share Best Practices - A willingness to share knowledge and
experiences with others is one of the most important qualities of a good teacher.
 Good Teachers are Approachable –As a teacher you should always be
approachable, so that students will be able to speak things or share things with
you. It also helps student to become more confident.
 Good teachers are open-minded - Effective teachers know, nobody is perfect
and there is always room for improvement, but know that it is a necessity for
teachers to reflect on their teaching to develop even further. They always think
about what went well and what to do next time.

5. Can a professional teacher take the imitative to organize community activity for
community development? Explain.

 Yes, we all know that teachers have a big impact to our community by
contributing their knowledge and area of expertise to the world and also, they can
serve as an influencer and good leader not only in the school but also to our
community. He/she acts as a leader initiating and participating in community
activities for the benefit of community members and the community as a whole.
As a community leader he/she deals with other professional and community
officials harmoniously and professionally.
 As stated in the article III section 1 “A teacher is a facilitator of learning and of the
development of the youth; he shall, therefore, render the best services by
providing an environment conducive to such learning and growth” therefore
teachers should develop a learning environment that is relevant to and reflective
of their community' social, cultural, and linguistic experiences. They act as
guides, mediators, consultants, instructors, and advocates for them, helping to
effectively connect their culturally- and community-based knowledge to the
community learning experiences.

6. How can Teacher show respect for community customs and tradition? Apply this
in our present situation.

 As a teacher you have to study and strive to understand local customs and
tradition in your community and also should have a better understanding about it
as you serve a role model. Teacher must exert effort to understand the
community with a sympathetic attitude. It is very important that teacher have this
understanding because he/she might have an encounter which came from
another country and has different tradition. So as a teacher you should respect
him/her in doing such different things as shown as respect on that person. So

that particular person will not be able to feel alone on having that different doings
instead he/she will be glad that he/she is welcome to the community.

7. Does the code of ethics for professional teachers prohibited a teacher and student
to fall in love with each other? Justify your answer.

 No, because according to article VIII section 7, In a situation where mutual

attraction and subsequent to develop between teacher and learner, the
professional teacher is expected to be fair because he/she shall exercise utmost
professional discretion to avoid scandal, gossip, and preferential treatment of the
learner.

8. Which Filipino trait makes it difficult sometimes for professional teachers to

function as a collegial community

 A professional teacher should work in collaboration with his/her fellow teachers.

They should always have a positive environment as they serve as role model but
unfortunately, we cannot accept the fact that we as a Filipino do have negative
traits that sometimes can destroy us. Gossip Filipinos are fond of talking about
others’ business. Sadly, this does not bring any good to the subjects. Secrets are
brought out; failures and flaws are emphasized; and relationships are destroyed.
Worse, as gossips are passed around, they tend to be twisted until the final story
becomes too far from the original—thus, causing more damage. Crab mentality
there are some of us Filipinos who got a bitter view at competition—that if we
cannot win, then no one will. Instead of helping each other to be successful, we
even make ways to pull them down like discourage them from taking great
opportunities, or destroying their image. A brotherly/sisterly correction for what
may appear to be unprofessional and unethical conduct of an associate is an act
that is becoming of a professional.

9. Appointment, promotion and transfer of professional teachers are done only on

what basis? Support your answers by citing the legal basis of laws

 According to Article VI “The Teacher and Higher Authorities in the Philippines”

under section 5. A teacher has a right to invoke the principle that appointments,
promotions, and transfers of teachers are made only on the basis of merit and
need in the interest of the service.

 Appointment’s, promotions and based only on merit and need in the interest of
service in the profession. Likewise, transfer of professional teachers is done on
basis of merit and need. Transfer of a teacher made because of school head
prejudice towards the teacher is unprofessional.

10. Explain how the professional teacher should conduct himself/herself as a person
in the teaching profession and in the business. Cite some laws in your
readings/research

 As mandated in the Code of Ethics for professional teachers, you have the
responsibility to interact positively with parents, community members, and other
stakeholders of the school. Contact with parents must be conducted regularly
and be kept professional and free from arguments. If you have an issue with
parents, community members, or stakeholders it must be presented during
meetings and conferences. Being a teacher, you must recognize that education
is a public service and strive to keep the public informed of the programs,
projects and activities.
