Children need more protein to produce amino acids and laborers need more carbohydrates to
store energy.

according to your age and gender?

9. Look at Table 5.6 again. Choose two adult people you know and determine the
amount of energy they require in their diet based on gender and work load. Explain the
reasons behind your determination for each individual.
Women + heavy work = 14,000 KJ
A woman that has a heavy workload need 14,000 KJ because they need enough energy
to complete their everyday tasks.
Men + light work = 11,000 KJ
A man that as a very light workload need 11,000 KJ because they do not need as much
energy to complete the tasks.
