SAI NSNIS is inviting online application for 59th Batch of Diploma Course in Sports
Coaching 2021-22. Interested candidates are required to go through the detailed notification
before applying for registration.

NS NIS, Sports Authority of India invites online Applications from the candidates who fulfil
the eligibility criteria for admission to the Diploma Course in Sports Coaching for the
academic session 2021-22.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
I) Eligible candidates desirous to seek admission to Diploma Course in Sports
Coaching should apply online on the registration portal (https://nsnis.in) before the
last date prescribed in the notification.
II) All details regarding filing up of online application form and fee payment is given on
the above mentioned registration portal. For any queries, helpline numbers given on
the registration portal is required to be contacted.
III) Eligible candidates shall be called for online admission test on the basis of
documents submitted by them.
IV) Candidates must be in possession of all original certificates/credentials and other
documents for verification by the respective academic centres at the time of joining
the course.

*(i)The students may indicate their preference of exam city from this list while applying on
the registration portal.
*(ii)SAI NSNIS reserves the rights to allot the final exam city and exam centre which may be
different from the city opted by the candidate depending upon the administrative exigencies.
3. CATEGORY-A(I) DIRECT ADMISSION FOR EMINENT SPORTS PERSONS-
Note:
i. During the admission process, candidates selected under A(I) category are
exempted from appearing in the online admission tests and virtual interview.
ii. Filling of application process will remain same for A(I) category as per other
categories.
iii. In addition to the number of vacancies advertised a g a i n s t each sport discipline,
Four Supernumerary vacancy (Two for men and Two for women) have been
created additionally for candidates in category A(I). However, Physical and
Medical Tests will be applicable for A(I) category as applicable to other candidates.
iv. In case of more than two candidate (per gender) in one sport discipline,
Candidates will be selected on the basis of ranking as follows: -
a. First: Medal in Olympics.
b. Second: Medal in Senior World Championships.
c. Third: Participation in Olympics.
d. Fourth: Medal in Asian/Commonwealth Games
e. Fifth: Participation in Senior World Championship
v. In case of Score tie (within the same gender group), admission will be given to
the candidates who is elder in age.
vi. Rest of the eligible candidates in this category have to undergo the entire
selection process based on merit as applicable to candidates in other categories.
vii. In case of vacancy falling short due to non-availability of candidate in any sport
discipline, the vacancy assigned to that sport can be diverted to other sport
disciplines if requirement so exists. The diversion of vacancies from one sport
to other will be finalised by a Committee Chaired by Senior ED (Academics)
NSNIS, Patiala.
3. AGE CRITERIA:
The age limit for applicants for the course shall be 21-35 years as on the last date of
application.
Upper Age relaxation upto Five years shall be given to:
i. The candidate who have participated in Olympic Games/Senior World
Championship/Asian Games/Senior Asian Championship/Commonwealth
Games/Senior Commonwealth Championship.
ii. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category.
iii. In service and Ex-service candidates from Armed Forces of India.
4. ALLOTMENT OF MARKS FOR ADMISSION CRITERIA:
The final selection of candidates (subjected to Physical and medical fitness**) shall
be based on a merit list based on marks achieved in accordance with the following
criteria:

• Application form of candidates who do not fulfil the eligibility criteria shall be rejected.
• Request for change in any particular in the application form shall not be entertained
under any circumstances. However, a chance will be given to the candidates
to correct/modify/edit some of the particulars of the application form online only
through the correction window.
• The name on the photo identification card must match with the name as in the
form submitted. If the name has been changed due to events such as marriage,
candidate must show the relevant document at the time of
exam. (Marriage Certificate /Divorce/Degree /Legal Name Change Document)
• Virtual interview will be conducted through Online Platform. Make sure that you have
a good quality laptop and Internet connection before appearing for the online
interview.
• Provisional Merit list (Sports specific) of the candidates will be displayed on NSNIS
website www.nsnis.org
• Candidates selected provisionally have to bring with them medical fitness
certificates issued by the Medical Officer of Government Hospital of their
respective/nearby area.
• Candidates have to undergo physical fitness test before joining the Institute.
Candidates who qualify the physical fitness test will only be allowed to join the course.
• In case the applicant is serving as a government employee, Non-Objection Certificate
(NOC) from concerned government organisation needs to be taken and submitted to
concerned SAI centre.
• During the conduct of the course students may be asked to report physically at centre
any time, however boarding and lodging facilities will be subject to availability of
facility at discretion of Competent Authority.
• During the complete academic year at lease 85% attendance is compulsory to appear
for the exam. Further permission needs to be taken well in advance for the leave,
from Incharge Academic of the concerned centre.
NOTE:
1. Sports Authority of India reserves the right to cancel a course or
change the venue of a course in view of inadequate response
or due to other administrative reasons.
(i) *Equipment Charges will be applicable for Badminton, Basketball, Football, Handball,
Hockey, Table-Tennis & Volleyball
