1 Introduction

This installation document aims to guide a T24 User (Bank Administrator / IT User / T24 Implementation/ etc.) for
creating Telnet user through the necessary steps to set-up the Windows 64 bit local host version of the Model
Bank Reference System.

1.1 Pre-requisites

2 Telnet User Setup

2.1 Create WINDOWS User

2.1.1 Step 1: Browse Computer Management

ACTION: To start and use Computer Management on the local computer:

Right click on the My Computer and click on Manage.


The Computer Management window for the local computer is displayed. "Computer Management
(Local)" is displayed at the root of the console tree.

2.1.2 Step 2: Create new user

ACTION: Expand Local Users and Groups. Right click on the Users and select New User.

2.1.3 Step 3: Update User information

ACTION: Enter the following information:


1. User Name (required): All usernames must be unique.
2. Full Name (optional): The full name of the user
3. Description (optional): A description of the user
4. Password (required): Password confirming to Windows rules
5. Confirm Password (required): This entry must be identical to the Password field.

After entering all the above information, click on create

2.1.4 Step 4: Update User profile

ACTION: Right-click the username and then select Properties. In the Profile Tab, enter Local Path where
bnk.run file folder is located in the set-up files. Click Apply and OK.

RESULT: Display

NOTES: Local path will differ from machine to machine depends on where the model bank is installed.

2.1.5 Step 5: Login to Telnet session

ACTION: Login into any emulator (eg: Tera Term) using the Host as localhost and select the Service as
Telnet.
Enter the user name and password it requested to enter.

RESULT: Login
