An adjective tells about a noun. An adverb tells us about a verb. Many adjectives can
become adverbs if you add -ly to the end of them.

Change the adjective in the parentheses into an adverb by adding -ly to fill in the
blank. The first sentence has been done for you.

To form regular adverbs. Add ‘-ly- to most adjectives. Adjectives ending in ‘-y’ change to
‘-ily’. Adjectives ending in ‘-le’ drop the ‘-e’ and add ‘-y’
