gender. We need to reduce racial and ethnic prejudice to develop a better community. 1. SEXISM Sexism is a belief stating that one gender is superior to the other gender, one gender is more valuable than the other gender. It controls what men and women should do. It imposes limits on actions based on gender. Sexism is discrimination based on one’s gender. 1.1 Gender stereotypes According to the European Institute for Gender Equality, gender stereotypes means “Preconceived ideas whereby females and males are arbitrarily assigned characteristics and roles determined and limited by their gender”. Gender stereotypes limit the abilities, natural talents, skills, and capabilities that reside within boys and girls. It will also limit the opportunities and experiences they can have[ CITATION gen21 \l 1033 ]. Several factors can influence gender stereotypes. The main factor is the family and society. The environment where the child is raised determines his attitude towards gender stereotypes. Gender stereotypes impact how they interact with their peers and how they develop relationships between their peers.
2. REDUCING RACIAL AND ETHNIC
PREJUDICE We need to produce principles and guidelines to reduce racial and ethnic prejudice. We need to raise public awareness regarding racial and ethnic prejudice. Increasing more contacts with social groups and building new relationships between these social groups will help to minimize this factor. We need to make aware people of the inconsistencies in their own beliefs. By exposing people to a more positive image of other racial groups will minimize racial prejudice. (Suttie, 2017). To reduce this matter, we need to consider the children. By helping kids to develop cross- group relationships helps in this matter. 3. CONCLUSION Gender justice is a human right. Gender equality is known as sexual equality. Sexism is a belief stating
