 EXPRESSWAYS

Bangalore - Chennai Expressway:

 This project shall facilitate better connectivity between Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu States.
 Implementation of the project would result in development of basic infrastructure, industrial development and better connectivity
between Bangalore and Chennai, which would result into overall economic development of the region.
 Out of total length of 262.100 Kms, 85 Kms length (Bethamangala to Gudipala Section) falls in Andhra Pradesh which is proposed
for 4-lane standards.

Amaravati - Ananthapuram Expressway:

 Post bifurcation, the Govt of Andhra Pradesh plans to develop the Rayalaseema region by providing better infrastructure facilities
and thus making it a major potential hub for Industrial development.
 Therefore, an access controlled Expressway has been planned for better connectivity of Capital region, Costal and Northern region
of Andhra Pradesh.
 The proposed Expressway connects Amaravati, new capital city of Andhra Pradesh with Ananthapuram of Rayalaseema region.
 It takes off from National Highway-44 near Maroor in Ananthapuram district and terminates at Chilakaluripeta Bypass (NH-16)
near Chilakaluripeta in Guntur district.
 The proposed Expressway provides a major connectivity between NH-44 and NH-16 which are lifeline in the State of Andhra
Pradesh.
 The Expressway passes through 4 districts (Ananthapuram, Kurnool, Prakasam & Guntur) of Andhra Pradesh.

 This ring road shall decongest the roads in Capital City.
