Dated Dispur, the 20th Novemb er' 2019

No.TMV. 195120101352: In exercise of powers confened under Sub-section (i) (d) (i) of
Section 67 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Act 59 of 1988) and in supersesS'ion of all
Govemment notifications prescribing fares, the Govemor of Assam is pleased to issue
directions to the State Transport Authority, Assam and the Regional Transport Authorities of
Assam regarding fixing of maximum fare with an increase @ 25%o aganst the existing fare
rezilizable for different categories of vehicles in the manner specified in the schedule given
below:-

Note:-
1. The above rates are inclusive ofall taxes.
2. Stage carriage/Express day services should not have any stoppage below 40-50 Kms,
stretch ofjoumey.
3. No bus service should be eligible for express day service which operates on less than
150 Km of route length.

4. Stage carriage/Super Express night services would be operated by only Luxury buses,
which may conform generally to the standards prescribed for Tourist Omni Buses and
must operate more than 200 Km, with only maximum of 3 stoppages efl-route.
The fares specified in the schedule above shall be effective from the date of the
Notification.
