Practicing Social Literacy in Delivering a
Lesson in the Classroom
HOW CAN I…?
As a future teacher, it is important that, me, myself knows how to
establish my social literacy skills inside the classroom.

How can I practice it?

In our everyday life we use our voice to communicate with others.

We use our mind to process everything that we say or do. In a classroom,
there’s an interaction between teacher and students. As I deliver a lesson, it
is important for me that I have an effective communication skill in
explaining or teaching concepts, problems and ideas for them to be able to
answer or solve the given tasks. Particularly on asking questions through
recitation. Also, I must possess a positive aura for my students so that they
can approach me easily whenever they have questions in their mind. But as
a teacher I must also make barriers for respect and authority, why it is
needed? There are children who will treat you as their friend and forget that
they have limits.

Delivering a lesson, is not always about the content, it is how the

student understand what you are trying to explain. A good response from
them can make a whole discussion worthwhile.
