I. Reflection

Directions: Think. Fill in the blanks to complete the paragraph about a specific MIL issue.

1. Citizen Journalism
Citizen journalism can empower ordinary people to be vocal on their perspectives and
opinions. It can promote freedom of speech and justice. However, it can also pose
problems such as disagreements and misunderstandings. In order to avoid such
problems, we must be critically-minded person.

2. The Internet as a Tourism Support


The Internet can empower local tourism through advertising in different platforms. It can
help develop exposure to tourists. However, the Internet can also pose issues or problems
to local tourism. Some examples of these problems are misinformation, low audience of
post, etc. In order to maximize the power of the Internet to promote local tourism, we must
be honest, interactive, and entertaining.

3. Phishing
The Internet can empower banking through efficiency. It can have positive developments
in customer service and management. However, the Internet can also pose issues or
problems to online banking or commerce. Some examples of these problems are phishing,
technical difficulties, etc. In order to maximize the power of the Internet to promote and
improve online banking or commerce, we must create more functional banking
environment.

4. Human Trafficking
The Internet can make communications and job applications more accessible and easier
to find. It can help develop employment rates and the economy. However, the Internet can
also promote human trafficking by violence, abuse, exploitations, etc. In order to fight
human trafficking, we must verify the job that we’ve applied.
