1. Introduction:

- Our friends are sitting in the corner, look.

- This coffee is really good. And it’s cheap here.

Look at the different kinds of word in those sentences:

2. What kind of word?:

There are eight different kinds of word in English:

a) Verb: động từ

b) Noun: danh từ

c) Adjective: tính từ Basic and important

d) Adverb: trạng từ

e) Preposition: giới từ

f) Determiner: từ hạn định

g) Pronoun: đại từ

h) Linking word: từ liên kết

PRACTICE
1. Phân loại từ vào các nhóm dựa vào đoạn văn có sẵn sau:

a) Henry thinks Claire is wonderful. He loves her madly, and he dreams of marrying
her, but unfortunately he is rather old for her. Today they are at a café with their friends
Sarah and Mark, so Henry can’t get romantic with Claire. But he might buy her some
flowers later.
