Lab Report: Submitted To

The document is a lab report that describes designing and implementing 3-bit and 4-bit even/odd parity bit generators. It includes truth tables and screenshots from logic simulation software showing the circuit designs for 3-bit and 4-bit even and odd parity generators. The objective was to design and test these circuits. Components used included ICs, a breadboard, and simulation tools. The circuits were tested against their truth tables and found to be functioning correctly.

ASSIGNMENT NO: 03

NAME OF THE ASSIGNMENT: Design and

implementation of 3 bit and 4 bit even/odd parity bit
generator.

Objective: Design and implementation of 3 bit and 4 bit even/odd

parity bit generator.

Apparatus: Breadboard,XOR gate ic (7486),Not gate

ic(7404), power supply,Resistor,Led bulb,Logisim,

Procedure:
*Check all the componants are working in breadboard.
*Insart the appropriate IC into the IC base.
*Make connection as shown in the circuit diagram.
*Verify the Truth Table and observe the outputs.

Conclusion:
In this lab, I explored the 3 bit and 4 bit even/odd parity bit
generator. I learned how to implement them on a breadboard with
integrated circuits. I have confirmed that the results are consistent
with the truth table of the Logic Gate test.
