Consider a junction where traffic is controlled manually by traffic wardens. Clearly explain the junctions,
scenario, facilities and the machines under consideration.

a. Evaluate three different alternatives to automate and control it. (25 Marks)

(Guidelines: The evaluation should be on the basis of automation and control gadgets, equipment’s etc.;)

b. Select the best available alternative. (25 Marks)

(Guidelines: The decision should be primarily on the basis of automation and control parameters. The other
features should be treated as secondary)

c. Justify your selection by reporting social and environmental aspect. (25 Marks)

(Guidelines: The justification should involve the social and environmental aspects of the proposed solution)

d. Conclude, can the proposed solution be applied in University of Engineering and Technology,
Peshawar? (25 Marks)
