Academic Programs Desired Learning Outcomes

academic functioning, to build
their academic self-esteem,
motivation and self-efficacy to
enable them to achieve
academically.

Small Learning Communities

advisement sessions and praise
towards academic achievement
and improve the student’s
connection to teachers, the
curriculum and the school.
Remedial Programs
- To boost students’ attitudes when
compared to traditional
instruction. Allow students to move
at their own pace, provide
immediate corrective non-
judgmental feedback, and
document student growth.

How do these programs impact student learning?

 Students who are academically behind are likely to stay behind

unless they receive more opportunities so through these programs’
students are more expose to academic material and increase
students’ opportunities to be involved in effective academic
engagements.

I. TITLE of the Learning Program Development and Enhancement

II. Rationale

5|Pre-Service Teaching learning Tasks

 Students often overwhelmed and start to disengage as they fall
behind in their school works, eventually giving up hope that they will
be able to catch up with peers. (Convissor, 2010) Thus, there is
clearly a great need to develop and provide effective means of
providing the students with the extra help and support that they
need to take and pass challenges. (Balfanz and Shaw, 2002)

III. Specific Objectives

 Guide at-risk students on the path towards academic success.
 Diminish the likelihood of behavior problems.
 increase the academic achievements of students.

IV. Conditions which prompted you to design the program

 There are students who are academically low and sometimes behind
from their classmates. They have lack of motivation and attention
maybe of some unidentified personal reasons.

V. Persons Responsible / Duties and Responsibilities

INSIGHTS;

 School activities provide opportunities for students to be involved in the life of the
school. Students experience leadership opportunities that help them grow into well-
rounded adults. Activities expand interactions among students, who are likely to
interact with others who are different from them. Thus, opportunities to experience
diversity are enhanced.
